bug!

Okay so i have recently installed FTB and created an account- but when i try to click on the launch button it wont click- its blacked out and i cant make another account to do anything on since it always errors, a picture is here

can someone please help with this- its very irritating since i was looking forward to playing on some of the modpacks- this doesn't just happen with horizon its all of the packs, please reply and tell me what to do!!

Try to completely terminate the process in the task manager and re open it. If that doesn't work, I'd just reinstall the launcher.

This used to happen to me frequently, but it's been so long since I've actually played ftb, let alone used the launcher, that I don't remember how I fixed it. I'd do a reinstall as was suggested earlier.

Reinstalled the launcher yet nothing, could you try and find out how you fixed it?

Could be a couple of things.

1) I have to ask, do you own Minecraft? You state you made an account, but it came across to me like you are talking about a FTB account. The thing is, the account it's looking for in the launcher isn't for FTB, but for the Minecraft authenticator. You can not use FTB without paying for Vanilla MC.
2) If you have a Vanilla MC account, are you trying to launch while offline? I think the offline mode is still not working, and you will not be able to run packs while offline (someone correct me if I'm wrong here)
3) If you have a Vanilla MC account, and are online, try deleting the character profile, shutting down FTB, and creating the profile again.

1. Yes I own minecraft, and have been playing for over4 years now, and have not changed my name, I have owned FTB previously on another computer and had no errors.

2.uh, I do have minecraft closed fully (lancher as well) if thats what you mean

Well, it now allows me to click launch , but upon clicking to launch a pack, it just flashes the downloading pack, but then disappears and wont launch the pack or do anything else

You got enough disk space/RAM? Or assigned enough memory to ftb (under options)? That fixed it for me the first time

well, how do i add memory/ram to ftb....

Where are you running the launcher from?
Try making a folder such as c:\ftb put the launcher in it and run it from there, but since you've already run it once you need to click the big options button and change the Install folder to also look at c:\ftb (or wherever you put it).

Also on the options button is a slider to change the RAM, set at maximum 4GB unless you use a HD resourcepack.
