So I downloaded the Curse client in anticipation of BnB 2.0 (don't worry, I know it's gonna be a bit). And while I could figure out how to get vanilla minecraft... I couldn't figure out how to do a mod pack. For the life of me, I found nowhere that had a list of packs or anything for download. Am I just being dumb and missing something?

2.0 is indev atm. Hopefully with tests going out to a few people before I leave for PAXEast and then on to the patreon server after that.

I know you already have a full testing team and all that, but if you ever want/need another tester, let me know :p

Oh baby, you know what I like! #kappa

So I thought blood and bones refered to someone being badly hurt (blood spilled, bones broken), not Blood iN Boner (erect blood filled penis)...

The current Curse client doesn't have access to modpacks. You would need the alpha version of the new client, but only certain modders/streamers have access to it.

This is currently the case, and 2.0 isn't there yet. Though I am told the full public v6 client is comming very soon.

Ok good, now I don't feel like such an idiot for not being able to find it, lol. I now BnB 2.0 isn't ready, and it will probably be a while till it is, but I figured I'd check it out now, see what packs were there and how the launcher itself was. I've played around with another launcher and really liked the launcher itself and thought it had some cool packs (not sure what the rules on these forums are about mentioning other launchers and non-FtB packs are so I haven't mentioned them by name). So figured I'd check out Curse as well. And now I know that it wasn't me failing at finding them, there just aren't any there, lol.

So..i got a few questions of my own so i can join DigitalWino exclusive club of non stupid people :p

1) Does Curse act similar to an FTB Client? (I've got no idea what Curse is/do.) (I know, -1 point to DigitalWino club.)
2) Even though you are leaving the FTB Modding team to pursue your own projects, will BNB 2.0 still be hosted by FTB?
3) Out of curiosity only: You say you mod for stuff other than MC, does that include work related stuff only or other games (possibly Mount & Blade by chance :D?)

I too would be curious what other games you've done modding for. And after looking at the well roundednes of mod packs for MC, I was thinking it would be cool if instead of just single mods for something like Skyrim, there were actual mod packs...

Nothing I've done has ever been released, really. I dabled in UI add-ons for my guild many many years ago in WoW. I currently have two mods for MC I'm working on as well as three bukkit plugins I used to learn the API a little. A mod for DST I started and have mostly abandoned for the moment, and waiting for 7DtD to move a bit further along, but have loose plans for that.

My pride and joy, however, will hopefully be the game I have started producing. I hide not the fact that I originally got involved in this community as a way to practice java, and well, things just kinda exploded into what is.

With BnB on your 'repertoire', I am very curious about what kind of game you are producing!

Curiosity killed the cat.

Regardless though, I will always try to support modders in whatever endeavor I do. I want to try to design my systems so that the content is plugins for what I'm working on. Basically, create the base game as a plugin and an API/Engine around it, expanding the API as I release content or a modder convinces me to add a hook for them.

if it is a non-horror (jump scare) survival crafting game like don't starve or bnb, that would be sweet. but java? trollface.

Lol. Java has become much better, esp as of j8. However, I learned java specifically for Android development.

I'm still in the process of learning c#, but I can still do proof of concept in java and then do the real project in cpp or c#. It's been a decade since I've touched cpp though.

I'll be very excited to what you do with 7 Days to Die. Great and fun game, however it's pretty easy to make a compound that is pretty much 100% self sufficient and near impervious to attack. Especially in co-op when you can all be working on different parts of it.

The way your setting up your game system sounds awesome. Kind of like the Elder Scrolls games (at least from Morrowind on). Have the core, which is the basic rule set of how the game runs. Then have all of the content be a mod file. Makes it really easy to switch out and add stuff. And then people don't have to try and jury rig coding into your game. Cause when they do that, there are two or three groups of people that do so, making it so you need this mod adder/script for some of your mods, but then you need a completely different mod adder/script for the other. Oh, and if isn't obvious... I don't know 100% what I'm talking about, lol. I just kinda get the gist of it.

Howdy @Eyamaz; are you about under a different name on minecraftforum.net? I spotted this on Reika's thread and it made me wonder.

If not, it may just be a coincidence - there's no crime against having a modpack with an identical name as yours I guess - just seemed a bit off.
