Black Screen

Whenever I launch the mod pack(Mindcrack v7) it shows the FTB symbol then just black screens. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with Java 7 Runtime installed. I already tried deleting all the files except the actual launcher and put the launcher in a separate folder but it didn't help and I still got a black screen. I watched a video where they get rid of Java 7 and use 6 instead is this what I have to do?

i see your updating / updated to 5.0.1. There where some problems with the files yesterday. Can you please backup your worldsfolder (if you have any) and remove all packs from your system and try to redownload them?
