BioCristals
BioCristals is a mod that aims to support the player through the game with an end goal focused on agriculture. The mod begins with supporting your exploration of the world, aiding you in creating the best home possible, and continues your journey from settlement to killing the dragon in the end. At the current moment the mod is only focused on exploration and the beginning of agriculture. I hope that the mod will over time blossom from creativity and community feedback. So feel free to post here, on curse, FTB or PM here :)

Some features of BioCristals
When a player first logs into their new world there are two things to note. One is that the player now has a green book called Research book and secondly, there is a purple outline around the hunger nuggets.

The purple outline shows the player their saturation; this will be important later on.
The Research book is the guide to the mod and will help the player navigate from start to finish through researching. The first time you open it you are meet by this:
Muyaf9y.png

If the player clicks the seed like icon in the left, this will open (Note: Here I have unlocked all the research, new players will only see the little insect in the center):

By right clicking different icons the player can favorite them. By left clicking, the icon will show more information (Selected icon has red around it). Now you may be asking; why would you favorite something?

When opening an inventory and holding the book, the player can now see there favorited researches. :) This stops the player from constantly needing to access the book and clicking around inside the gui (Helps a lot if your memory is as bad as mine).

At the moment there are nine insects with different functions. They all eat from The Hunger or from the player, depending on if there is a bank or eater inside of the players inventory. When eating from the player, they will first eat from the player's saturation, then move on to the player's hunger.

Some of these insects can directly be used from the player's hand, while others need to be used through a nest. However, all insects will work in the nest, each with different functions. Example of insect in nest:

Example of breeding two Croot Beetles:

Lastly we have the Hunger Network. This lets the player transform food into raw food and into other types of resources through the use of a sacrifice pit. The network exists in another dimension. Example of what it looks like:

Neat mod in terms of what you've done with it, though it suffers several significant grammar and spelling errors. That sort of thing bugs me too much to want to personally try the mod (don't worry, yours isn't the only one coughESSENTIALCRAFT3cough), but it's an interesting idea certainly.

Yeah i have some problems with spelling and grammar as english isnot my native language. At the moment i'm trying to get help with that, but i'm having the problem with adding things faster than anything can possibly correct the language errors. Thanks for the comment! :)

Can you explain the name of the mod for me? Why "Cristals" instead of "Crystals" ?

The name is comes from a misspelling of the word Crystals. As for some reason i have always written Crystals as Cristals (Totally, blaming the video game industry). The reason why the mod is called BioCristals is because; One, it focuses on agriculture and later on the player can make crystals that will create resources for him or her. These resources are wheat, potatoes, and anything veggie.

The mod idea is based around a older mod idea i had with insects helping the player :)

And a cristal from the mod:

Spelling and grammar have never been my strength in life, so trying to work out the errors i do. :) At the moment i'm looking for ppl to help me with my problem.

You may need to refine your ideas. As it stands all you have at the moment is a bunch of good ideas and mechanics haphazardly mushed together.
Your UI's look neat though.
I'd consider renaming the mod. Unless you make it more apparent how the Crystals are central to the mods mechanics.
From the first description the mod seems to be based more around the bugs, I'd have called it BioHive. But then again you already know your plans for these crystals.

I kind of agree. BioHive sounds awesome (and considerably more unique) and seems to be more applicable to the central theme of the mod.

At the moment it does, but it depends on Chompski's future plans.

What parts do you feel are haphazardly mushed together? :) I have left out some parts in the mod in this thread as i feel it is hard to convey everything in a good way and not overwhelm the reader. The plan is that you have 6 eras. First era is focused around overworld exploration, running around and finding your base. Second era is focused around building your first base from a agricultural perspective with a few protection mechanics. Third era is focused around exploration of the underworld, will say caves and such in the overworld (Working on this era at the moment). Forth era is automated focused, fifth era is potion, buffs and mechanics to support the player to beat the ender dragon and the last era is just about building a huge hive.
So when you start of you are hunting for bugs that can help you in your exploration, something that helps you move around (The Croot Claw), something to eat (Kraken), something to help you smelt stuff on the move (The Hivebag) and lastly something to help you defend yourself (Water Shielded Beetle). I also added a nomads sack to help you store all the things you find. All the insects (Nomads sack is not a insect) will in the beginning eat directly from the players saturation, food level and health.
When the player has found a place to live he or she can start working with; nests (applies special powers from different insects on the surroundings, for example: Water Shielded Beetle attacks mobs (not slimes)and Croot Claw teleports items into the nest), breeding (to gain new insects and inso accessing new functionality) and lastly, things that are good cannot come for free. There is The Hunger system, a cost system based around food. While the player starts to accessing more complex and supporting mechanics the prices starts to rise (for example The Void Crawler kills a player on use if he or she doesn't give it enough food as it eats all the saturation, food levels and health). Some of the insects also need certain types of food to work (There exists six types; raw food, biomass, psychic energy, life fluids, nourishment and waste), such as the kraken that needs waste.
After the player have build up a small hunger network and breed some insects, he or she can explore the underworld. At the moment the Void Crawler will phase out blocks that are not ores and has a light value, helping the player to find resources, and the Lightbringer will auto place torches when it is to dark around the player. That is about it. Planning of adding some modular armour that you can fill with insects so you don't have to care everything around inside the main inventory.

Does things makes more sense now? Or have i just diggin my grave deeper? :D

Yeah, i have been thinking about a name change. I know that someone once recommended BioCulture. What do you think about HiveCulture? (Can i gain more levels in mushing things?)

Don't worry time will make things clearer. Once you finnish/ refine the mod things will make more sense.

Don't change anything on our account. It was just a first impression.

Hivemind, or Hiveminded?

I must say, this has a LOT of possibilities, I like the symbiotic nature of the mod. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes!
