Alright, so on the Feed the Beast server I play on (mindcrack), I've set up a few alvearys for mutating my Resilient and cultivated bees into Corroded and Tarnished. But there's a problem. Even with 6 mutators (containing uranium, even tried nether stars), and 6 frame housings containing soul frames, nothing works. They won't mutate. I know for a fact it's the resilient and cultivated species combined to make the desired aforementioned bees. Any suggestions?

I already have the resilient bee. I'm trying to get the Corroded and Tarnished species, which my chart tells me comes from a cultivated and resilient.

Oh! Thank you so much, I didn't look through the page thoroughly. I'll tell the chart author, thanks again for the help! ^_^

Be careful with believing the content there. For example it stated before my edit, that a Wintry Bee needs snowcover instead of flowers. This is false (just tested it to be 100% sure).

How did you test it? By looking at the Apiarist database (or Beealyzer?) or by indeed putting the bee in an apiary? Afaik there was a discussion in the ftbwiki, that there is an text error in the Apiarists database that it says Flowers, while Wintry bees indeed need snowcovers. However, I can't test it right now, just wanted to let you know.

First: Spawned in a wintry queen and inoculated it with temperature tolerance. Then i set it in an apiary in a plains biome, so no snowcovers nearby. With a flower present, it worked. With the flower removed, it didn't want to work, complaing about missing flowers.
Second: Went to a cold biome, broke a snow hive with a scoop. But an apiary down and the wintry bees in. Made sure beforehand, that no flower was close, but more than enough snow covers. Bee complained, that it couldn't find flowers.

Indeed, then its not just an text error in database - thanks for your tests. I've never bred wintry bees so far ...

Edit: I've had another look at the code, its indeed confusing.
The default FLOWER_PROVIDER allele for the wintry bee (and its whole branch) is set to flowersSnow. However, this is mapped to use the FlowerProviderVanilla class, i.e. normal flowers (red and yellow). Strange, Sengir probably changed his mind at some point (or is it unintended?). Anyway, normal flowers is the correct answer.

So..

Given a link to the page, and even told where on the page to look, you still needed somebody to tell you in this thread??

And here I thought *I* was lazy...

I gleamed the page for information I deemed useful, and saw none. Although, yes. It was just laziness on my part.
