what about liquid glowstone?
Glowstone act as a gas and will go up on the sky, so you would need a way to contain it.
what about liquid glowstone?
Did this for my 1.5 Unleashed build: http://imgur.com/a/dSMKv
Challenge for me was to stay within the confines of the natural volume of the crown of the tree. Quite liked it, but I am also very much ready for something else

Direwolf20 made something like that a few seasons ago.. idk, I thought it looked a little tame and boring, idk how he could have made it better
haha true thatWell, Dire did build it. He's not really one for aesthetics. Maybe if someone actually decent at building did it it'd look good.
spiralling around the trunk?you’d have to put it into a theme though, like dwarves mines would be easy to do, but what if you had a tree house, how could you make the rail fit
jeez, you'll just get pics and vids of that terrible MW3 map :/(if you search favela in Google you'll find what I'm talking about)
While Jess says that quiet village is the best disguise for epic underground labs, I disagree.
Almost slum-like (if you search favela in Google you'll find what I'm talking about) constructions are the best disguise for epic underground labs. After all, I prefer going from small, clumped, badly built houses to something that looks like Black Mesa.
Well, the fact that most of the time, the architeture of a favela is commonly called a "puxadinho" (which is essentially creating something after a basic foundation of the house has been created, often with a different style and position) creates an architeture that is a bit random. It's not a big awesome looking building, but rather a big awesome good-looking collection of rather boring and random buildings.
In short, mundane made awesome.
Dmyster look back at Bdoubleo and ethos episodes from ftb where they built a Blackops map using micro blocksWhat I would really enjoy doing... probably my next project... but the map from Black Ops 2 zombies.. the underground one (burried). It allows you to hide your place but give these outside per say aesthetics.
But I would not do it in an olden day... rather a secrect lab which has been abandoned or something like that

I have seen that and its really cool but its above ground...
I like the idea but It is way too much work and I would just like the aesthetics. Although it would be cool to have zombie spawners and somekind on level system with a shop using rotten flesh... hmmm I like this challenge

I have seen those actually... I really enjoyed playing them but just imagine what it would be like with that ftb touch
