Avoiding consumption of Liquid Essence (Ars Magica)

Hi, if you look at this site: http://am2.wikia.com/wiki/Essence_Nexus then there is an interesting quote there:

Since the source block of liquid essence is consumed after a small time, it's possible to automate the placement and removal of the source block so that the Nexus generates essence without being able to absorb the source block.

Is this true? I suppose if it is then you could use a dispenser to place the liquid source some time and then pull it back before the essence is consumed. Has anyone tried to automate this and how to do the timing of this?

I have no idea but if I ever wanted liquid essence, all I have to do is create a random mystcraft age. They always seem to have ponds of the stuff everywhere.

Unfortunatelly mystcraft ages are disabled on the server that I'm going to use this so I can't use that trick.

Or if you have Ex Nihilio (or was it Ex Aquilio?) you could just make some more. Or melt down some things to get some. And those don't need neutral essence to make.
