It's a nail... in your toe.

Does it hurt, having a nail in your toe?

Because you can't divide by zero, so obviously the webcomic is impossible.

Why are the zips on trouser fronts called flies?

Have you ever experienced a dead fly on your window sill, that you swept into the corner of the window sill and then spent several minutes trying to pick it out of that corner with your finger?
Do you see any similarities to the zippers on trousers?
In Dutch this is called a "gulp" by the way, which has no homonymous meanings, afaik.

Hedgehogs. Teeny tiny floating hedgehogs.

Which hype is bigger - Thermal Expansion 5 or Thaumcraft 5?

Do you really want to pitch the "depends on CodeChickenLib because it saves us 40GB of model files LIES" against "Pure tainted awesomeness"?

I mean, which is bigger:
The TC6 hype or the TE5 hate?

One cubic water vole.

Does anyone else know what @Robijnvogel is referring to? Also, aren't we only up to TC5? I'm pretty sure there isn't going to be a TC6 for a long time...

TC5 was MC 1.8.9. Azanor just made the English language files for Thaumcraft for MC 1.10.2 available, a Thaumcraft version that is planned/promised to break with so many Thaumcraft concepts of previous Thaumcraft versions, that Azanor at one point considered to change the whole name of the mod.

Thermal Expansion 5 was announced to go closed source in a few weeks AND it depends on CodeChickenLib now, because it is used to dynamically generate models at runtime, which saves a lot o of memory, however has a little performance overhead. This does save maybe a few MBs of memory and disk space, but not 40 GB, as was announced on Twitter. The way that CCL dynamically creates these models is a bit different, but not in any way better than the way some other mods do this. Yet another dependency. Thermal expansion now depends on CCL, CoFHCore and Thermal Foundation. This model generation should probably have been included in CoFHCore instead.

No question, because my answers weren't silly.

Oh wow! I assumed that the changes for 1.8 were just going to be ported to 1.10 - I loved the new golem system, the wands and such, basically everything I saw! I had no idea there would be a NEW new version! Perhaps he should give it a new name - after all, the very first version wasn't called Thaumcraft!

Ah, I see. So TE5 is not all it is promised to be? Hm. That is a lot of dependencies. I was going to look at flux networks as it wasn't a huge mod - until I saw it depended on SonarCore, which is MUCH bigger. I won't pretend to understand about a lot of this stuff though.

Well, the golems are pretty much gonna stay the way they were. Everyone loved how that worked in TC5.
The aura system is going to change again though.

Yeah. One central library mod containing code for functionality that multiple of your mods use (like CoFHCore) is actually pretty useful, because it means that you don't have to include that code in every one of the other mods, which saves disk space, RAM, code duplication AND performance.
Thermal Foundation only adds the ores, ingots, gears and other basic TE crafting components (like coils), and tools (like Tin and Invar Swords, Sickles and Axes), which you might want if you like playing with MFFR or Thermal Dynamics (ducts and stuff), but don't want the Thermal Expansion machines.

Using two library mods though - and especially a library mod of another author that has not been a basically essential library mod anymore since MC 1.9.4, because JEI, a mod that doesn't need CCL, now substitutes NEI's core features - kust makes things more complicated for the mod's users.

If you'd asked this question in Dutch "What is the Carrot of a hamster":
Picked.

What is the hate equivalent of Hamstard on the scale of Marmite?
I don't recognise "Hamstard", but assuming its ham and mustard, like in a sandwich, then on a scale of one to marmite, its about a cheese and pickle I'd say.

Is anyone still excited about Star Trek: Discovery coming out, or has that officially faced into mehthingness?
