Hi guys maybe you can help me. I've gotten into ars magica 2 and yesterday I changed my light nexus into an essence nexus to speed things up a bit. The scructure's fine but as soon as I want to place liquid essence underneath it runs out after a few seconds. Now before I use up the entire world's liquid essence I'd like to know: is this normal?? It isn't mentioned in any tutorial at all so I wonder am I doing somewthing wrong?

I feel the need to mention that I've built my nexus on a platform because I got blown up by creepers a lot. Or does it has to be on solid grond to work?

I hope any of you guys can help me.

Thanks in advance!

Yes it's normal that it runs out very fast, each essence is meant to be only 1000 essence worth

I personally would use that for spells that require it, and a light/dark nexus to power machines and whatnot made by the mod as those are renewable power sources

Also, Light / dark nexus' can be linked to a mana battery, making neutral essence in the battery. Just let the light nexus fill the battery over time, and you'll be swimming in essence.

Completely normal, the nexus converts it to energy as soon as you give it the liquid. If you hit it with a Magitech staff you'll see how much energy is stored

Unless you're in the latest version of AM. Batteries don't convert to neutral anymore (but liquid essence is supposed to be much more common)

Liquid essence pools spawn quite frequently especially in magical biomes in new versions of AM.
The twilight forest seemed a good place to get lots when I visited the other day.

I've found with the batteries they do convert to neutral, if you prime them with some neutral first

Hey I have a question with the mod ars magica 2. I've been playing for a while but when I want to craft the blue chalk for the essence nexus it won't allow me to and won't show to chalk and also I've been missing some items from there like the sigil. Can anyone reply quickly and help me!
Thnx

Ars Magica changed a lot recently, the sigils have been removed and replaced with an alternative mechanic. Also, the nexi don't exist any more if I recall correctly-you have to use different ways to generate essence. The Arcane Compendium you get at the very start of Ars Magica 2 should have all the information in it.

Also, people tend to get upset if you comment on a thread that's been inactive for over 7 months.
