I have set up my system and im starting to set up some auto-crafting with Fabricators from xycraft and im running into the issue that the system would flood the inventory with one item and not let the other items needed for the recipe any way to fix this?

Don't use fabricators to autocraft using AE. Try using the assembly chamber that is part of the AE mod itself. The only thing I use fabricators for with my AE network is for scrap to scrapboxes, and that's probably inefficient.

well i want the system to always be making certain items like iridum ignots or coal chunks (for now) so anyway to just let that continue to run?

Well seeing as fabricators pull from adjacent inventories, try having two export bus to two separate chests next to the fabricator.

No need for chests... just place the fabricator next to an ME interface and tell the interface to export whatever ingredients you need.

Works faster than export buses too, and you can connect multiple fabricators to one interface.

Fabricators are actually great to use with AE, they act as an inventory for import and export buses, craft insanely fast, are compact and don't use any energy. I use them to craft commonly used items from raw materials and import them into an AE system.

If you're dumping all of a resource you have into a craft I can see that. My system has a large amount of interfaces that I use for various crafting and processing. What are you crafting from what resources?

The ME interface has a processing slot I believe?
So if you set the recipes up the exact same way you'd load a crafting Multiblock, except put them on the interface next to the fabricator, that should work

For simple autocrafting I use this:

Each ME interface serves two fabricators - it constantly exports two sets of items. It's for the stuff I want to craft as soon as I have needed resources. I use it mainly for tiny dust -> dust recipes.

ok another question if anyone is able to answer this is it possible for one recipe to take priority of the other and is it possible to keep x amount of an item in the system while processing the rest? for example if i set up a quarry and i start to gather iron ore and i have it auto process and auto make iron bars but i would want to keep some of dust for other uses is it possible to keep some of the dust?

If you can connect the crafting to an AE emitter, it can be done. You can use the emitter to turn on or off with a certain amount of items in the AE network. Then use the redstone to enable/disable your crafting.

Just so you know, I was doing that (except I had four per ME Interface) and crashed the server for unknown reasons. The setup worked unmodified for over a week, then crashed the server three times (the exact xyz coordinates were given) and so I removed it.

The bug report I filed
