~Snip~As an example your "Irredeemably Godawful" was based off purely false information in which you stated you get circuits from world gen rather than craft them. Which is not true, you get the press from world gen (of which is very common and in minecraft infinite)~Snip~
So we don't get them from world-gen, we get the tool we need to make them from world gen. This is slightly different, I guess. One of which means we have people on servers fighting constantly for a needed part for a AE network, and the other means we have people on servers fighting constantly for the only thing that can make those things that make those needed parts for a AE network.
So what if they are common? So what if the world is massive enough that it's basically infinite? SMP is a thing; Everyone starts at one place, and everyone will want those presses, so those who show up later have to go farther and farther from spawn to find any, and on a server, this is bad. Scratch that, it's horrible bordering on malicious.
So what if there is a community workshop? Everyone will want one(or more) in the end.
It works great in SSP, where the world is only as small as your computer can store. In SMP, it's a totally different story. And that is why I take offense to the merest idea that AE2 has circuits which are needed for anything as worldgen. Oh, sorry, a press that makes those circuits, my bad. Same thing in the end, really, just decreases the scale of the issue a tiny bit in SMP.
