Anyone else have major lag in the Twilight Forest?

Note to mods: This isn't a support topic, just a question.

Whenever I go into the Twilight Forest, I get extreme lag to the point where I can't move without lagging. Is it just my laptop not being able to handle it, or is the Twilight Forest just laggy?

I did run into a lag issue the first time I ported in. But it cleared up once the chunks loaded. I am using optifine though so YMMV.

I do seem to recall comments that the Twilight Forest in general is very resource-intensive - all those trees, you know? Quite unfortunate, that.

That said, some of the loot is absolutely indispensable...
