Well, you shouldn't have used a beta pack for a production server (especially considering the configs in the beta pack were pretty much only touched to fix ID conflicts, there were a few keybinding conflicts that caused some annoying problems etc) and expected things to go smoothly when the final version is released.

Not only that, there are a ton of options .. such as waiting for Ultimate or Tech, using the conversion tools (that they aren't obliged to dev), starting over with MC and disabling GT .. etc, such that "out of luck" sounds a bit .... yea. I guess if you want everything on a monogrammed silver platter *right now as of December 25* ... you're out of luck, sure ;p

Er, yes, yes it does apply to this case. And if what Jadedcat said isn't enough, look up Slowpole101's 2nd LP stream/video. It's been made quite clear that the permissions given to the FTB team do not apply to the private packs people want to submit for their servers, and thus permissions still need to be obtained. He did point out that technically Redpower 2 (and others) do give permission to private packs, which is what these would be, but not all mods have given that permission yet. Thaumcraft stands out in this case.

the quote function didnt quote everything, but even though his quote doesnt apply to this case.
The quote function (intentionally) does not quote quotes, to avoid insana-nesting.

Also, you are also incorrect. Both that quote (You can click on the arrow beside the username to go the post quoted, by the way) and Slowpokes's (2nd?) stream explicitly mention that the permissions given to the FTB modpack do not apply to private packs.
