I'm gonna guess that those are the invisible light blocks made visible by some sort of conflict. I wonder if a wrath lamp would show something similar. Out of curiosity what pack/mods do you have running?

Running a heavily modified Monster 1.0.1 pack. I added Dartcraft(and dartpatch) Veinminer, InfernalMobs, RotaryCraft, Metallurgy, ExtraTiC, ArchimedesShips, Morph, Gany's Mods, Pam's HarvestCraft and Translocators. I also beleive I pulled over Blood Magic/Ars Magica2, and Aquaculture.

Just curious what kind of hud modification you have to get your health bar on the top left of your screen, I was a fan of WoW and loved a mod that allowed to customize any of my hud, this is the only thing that I'm missing for Minecraft...

Those lamps produce flux right? Flux causes environmental changes so maybe flux is not properly eaten by aura?

those lamps don't cause flux at all. there were quite alot of things that caused flux in TC3, but there's almost no items in TC4 that really cause flux.
there's the crucible and altar crafting and a very tiny but of flux generated by the infernal furnace, but that's about it... oohyea, taint biomes also ofcourse...
