Just to clean up the forums like we did with the "simple question, simple answer" thread, here is one for all questions relating to Computercraft, Misc. Peripherals, and anything to do with programming.

Please post in the following format:

1)Goal
2)Problems
3)Code or Discussion

We are here to help, explore, and discover new things.

Misc. Peripherals Commands: http://www.computercraft.info/forums2/index.php?/topic/4587-cc153mc152-miscperipherals-33/

ComputerCraft: http://www.computercraft.info/wiki/Main_Page

I honestly think that this deserves its own forum. Code issues can get quite involved, making consolidating anything interesting into a single post quite problematic. If there WAS a forum for this, I would be willing to help with questions.

This is just a link for people to read before they post computercraft errors: The Errors of ComputerCraft and How to Fix Them
It's basically a page describing what causes common computercraft errors, no-one really noticed it when I made it, so maybe people will read it here :D

Also, I'm gonna actively follow this thread, I love debugging code, it helps me become a better programmer

You mean like an entire forum for ComputerCraft?
With special sections for help, and dealing with peripherals?

But, given that it's in the modpack and people don't always know where a block came from and where to get help, it's good to have a quick Q&A thread here, especially as a lot of the issues I've seen around here are solved quickly, followed by discussions on optimisation and features amongst the experienced players :)

Well, this is entirely true, but some people don't want to create an account on another forum, and also I believe you need to make 3 helpful posts before you can create your own thread. So its not ideal for people looking for a quick answer, plus us FTB people are a more active bunch than them guys

Yeah, it's not the most ideal, and it is good to have a "go-to" thread (protip: Never use gotos, because raptors), also, wasn't that basically what I said in the second half of my post? I thought it would be useful to have the links to the CC forum here, though, at least tell people where it is.

Anywho, I might be able to spot the odd syntax error, but most of my CC interaction is limited to short "While True"s and scripts half-inched from the CC fora.

Yes, there is another forum for this.. There are many, in fact. There are also wikis for just about every mod in FTB, but that doesn't keep us from having a centralized FTB wiki, does it? I was thinking that a sub-forum for LUA and Forth might generate more interest. People would have to know about CC to go to the CC forum. If it was here, somebody might just go "Oh, cool. Maybe I'll check this out!"

Also, no offense intended Bibble, but the OP does not appear to be talking simply about issues with the mods. The words "...anything to do with programming..." and "Code or Discussion" kind of point elsewhere.

Edit: BTW, I love the Raptors comic! LOL!

Fair enough. That's just me being tired and not reading properly. I blame spending the evening wrestling with MS products, personally.

Microsoft Works. The only software title that is impossible in and of itself.

The problem with trying to post in the CC forums is that you need a 2 week waiting period, and your still not guaranteed. Been waiting on mine for 4 weeks -__- so I started up this thread for whoever needed help.

The problem with threads like this and "simple question, simple answer" is that people will search something in the forum's threads titles and they won't find the info in these threads which is why it's better to create threads for specific questions and let people answer to that.

I can deffinitly understand what you are saying. But how the fact that that threat floats on the surface so often that people don't mind repeating a question if its just a 5 word answer. I don't know. Just trying to help.

Why don't you post the question you've been waiting on an answer from here? Either myself or someone else could probably help.
I solved that a while ago. I noticed over 8 different questions today related to CC and figured this thread might help :) feeling friendly today.
