A small, persistent voice seemed to whisper to Fiona. She acknowledged her sister's gift with a grin and an offhand wave as she strode forward, filled with DETERMINATION. However, rather than use the power temporarily granted to her, Fiona chose to draw upon her own magical strength for her next attack.

Fiona closed her eyes, concentrating for but a moment as she walked, murmuring something that was too soft to be heard. Raising her head, her eyes began to shine with the brilliance of the noonday sun reflecting off unquiet waters. Fiona's gaze turned to focus intensely upon the central goblin, the one standing in front of the small party. It seemed to have some modicum of authority over the others - perhaps with its death, the others might retreat.

Holding her sceptre before her as one might grasp an outstretched sword, Fiona spoke aloud, and the air seemed to still for an instant.
"Your flesh must taste evaporation! Behold this Light, of Vindication!"
With these words, a fissure of blinding light erupted from Fiona's sceptre, arcing toward the monster's heart.

Look behind you
Dubhan felt himself grow stronger as he drained a part of the worm's life force, just as he had many a time before. The feeling was almost addictive, and he was grateful for its effects.
"I don't need your help, stranger," Dubhan called out to the man wreathed in shadow, "so save yourself before that thing eats you alive."
That said, he turned back to the worm. He didn't need help defeating it, let alone from someone who couldn't even show their face, instead hiding it in a mask like a coward. Looking at it, he almost felt a sense of pity, but soon quashed that thought, as he knew it needed killing - such was the right course of action, as it would be for any who threatened others without provocation.
Raising his dagger, he infused it and his arm with strength by the power of his magic, and brought it down upon another section of the worm, attempting to lessen its strength.

Erildus stepped out onto the street to watch an Ork charge a figure on the street. The figure barely dodged the ork, and might not be so lucky next time. Without a word, Erildus flicked his hand, and felt the energy of thousands of little particles of energy focus through his hand, into a tiny sphere of flame, and launched it at the Ork, following it unerringly.

Knowing that the Hedron in her hand was not yet ready, Nahiri had a choice to make. She could try and attack back with her sword but she knew that it wouldn't do much. Thus instead she decided to focus a bit on the Hedron that was already floating. After getting a bit more distance between her and the orc that attacked her she fired a lightning bolt towards the floating Hedron. The lightning bolt swirled around the Hedron for a bit before getting absorbed.

"Well shit" Astora muttered under his breath as he saw the wyrm charge him. He tried to jump out of the way but Astora was just too slow. He was knocked to the ground by the beast.

Astora felt himself become stronger whilst getting furious. Lying down, he pried his mask off his face and threw it across the street. He got up, dusted his shoulder and started walking towards the wyrm. He was being reckless, he wasn't thinking straight but Astora charged towards the beast, his mind set on killing it.

Lexia hadn't woken up the kids because she worries about them. Views them as her own children. She forgets sometimes how powerful they are. But as the goblins attacked, sure enough they woke up anyways. Good thing too, as now the goblins decided to shoot poisonous darts at her. And she recognized the poison too. The Jubilee flower. It's a massive and immensely beautiful flower, but if ground up and brewed into a poison, acts as a powerful paralytic. Just another crime against nature these filthy creatures committed. She was gonna make these stupid goblins pay.

But for now, she was reeling from the poison, and needed a chance to recover. So she summoned a bramble to protect her while she acclimatizes to her weakened state. The kids can handle themselves against two goblins. In the heat of the battle, it's easy to forget they're just a couple of kids.

Persolus had just enough time to scoop up his dagger as the closest element threw an attack at him. He had not slept very well because his bed was to comfortable he thought the inn keeper had given him the wrong room and was going to charge him more in the morning. Why do Mondays always mean monsters. In a swift leap he jumped onto the head of the closest elemental. It was the only place that seemed not to be shaking. He squatted down on the head of the elemental and shaded his eyes from the glare of the morning sun. Now where did i leave my cloak. Persolus could just see a corner his cloak poking out from underneath the now collapsed door. There it is. He stretched his hands out in-front of him and flash-banged all 3 of the elementals. not waiting to see if it had worked, Persolus jumped off the elementals head and snatched up his cloak.

<5:03>
[Lexia's farm]

A cloak of pure light enveloped Fiona, protecting her from harm. The goblins, blinded by the light, turned around to look at Lexia, who was still shielded by brambles. 'Ack Haa!' the front one shouted, and they ran at the cocoon of brambles. The first two to reach it hacked and slashed at it, but simply cut themselves on the sharp brambles. The final one, having noticed the other two hurt themselves, kept its distance, simply poking at the brambles a little bit with its knife. Lexia's brambles retracted back into the ground, and she was revealed, curled into a little ball, clearly she must've been too scared to do anything. Sylvia felt the magik of Holy Restoration infuse with her soul.

A dark shadow came out of Astora, and latched onto a section of the wyrm. There was a crunch as a section of the wyrm's armour broke. The shadow returned to Astora, carrying the life energy that it had stolen with it. As Astora's strength returned, he felt his fury fade away, the wounds caused by the wyrm healing. On the other hand, the wyrm roared in pain, flying towards Astora. However, due to the pain, the wyrm veered far off course, completely missing Astora. Meanwhile, a section of the wyrm's armour near Dubhan split and fell away, the softer skin underneath flying off as the blood was ripped out of its side. The wyrm appeared to slow its movements, it was clearly on its last legs. Metaphorical legs of course.

Another hedron was now floating in the air, and as it glowed, Erildus and Cait felt their magik become stronger. As the mist flowed from Cait's staff, it intensified. The third ork felt the mist begin to enter his lungs, and he choked, but for now remained unharmed. The others were again engulfed by thick mist, but were so far not experiencing the harmful effects caused by its inhalation. The dart of liquid flame pouring out of Erildus's magikal device engulfed Skullkracka. If the mist were not to obscure his vision, Erildus would have witnessed a truly horrifying sight. The ork screamed and writhed, the skin melting off of much of his body, his right fang half dissolving in the molten liquid. The orks were done for, as their screams began to replace their earlier confidence. Perhaps they began to realise what a terrible mistake they had made.

The bolt that Loch had fired flew straight towards the bloodsucker, but as it neared it, it appeared to get stuck in something, before bouncing off this invisible wall with a strange reverberating noise. The bloodsucker then turned to face loch, pointing his hand towards him. Loch barely had time to realise what was happening and dive out of the way before the dart of compressed sound flew past his side. Chuck sent his own magik at the bloodsucker, but this too appeared to be stopped by this invisible wall. However, the flames appeared to spread out, surrounding this barrier. As the barrier was destroyed, flames repeatedly burned away the barrier as it tried to regenerate. For Loch, all this burning and sound waves was sure to freak him out.

As Persolus speeded towards the elemental, he stabbed it with his tiny little knife. However, despite Persolus's lack of strength and tiny weapon, it appeared to hurt the elemental. Linessa rose slightly from mud, but as it was moving as if alive, two strands of mud held her down, preventing her from flying out of it. The tornado of wind did, however, manage to create a dangerous whirlwind of mud, protecting her. The first elemental, clearly dedicated to avenging his dead friend, ignored Acar behind him, sending a shockwave through the mud. It was simply useless though, as the mud flew away from the whirlwind in the centre. Acar focused on Linessa, and ice crystals began to form over her armour. Surprisingly, it seemed only cool, as the cold from the ice appeared to be mostly held within it by magik. The final elemental attempted the same thing as the other, with similar success.

After seeing the force at which the elemental tried to swat him away with, Persolus thought that it might be better not to try to jump on the monster again or any monster. So Persolus charged at the monsters, which were now focusing on Linessa, from behind, ready to plunge his dagger into the elemental's back.

Linessa's taunt worked well... too well, in fact. While her attack had managed to deanimate the one elemental, sending flakes of rock flying and causing the rest of its surprisingly fragile body to collapse into a formless heap, it had also attracted the attention of both of the others. Before Linessa could react, the ground beneath her feet liquified, throwing her off balance, then thickened again as she began to sink into the muck. Linessa knew she didn't have much time to extricate herself from the sudden pool of mud before the elementals closed in- and worse, whether they sent more shockwaves her way or just stepped up and swung with their massive fists, Linessa would have little chance of dodging their attacks in time.

Linessa waved her hand in front of her and raised it above her head, as if... well, there's not really any more familiar action to compare it to, but it was clearly some kind of nonverbal incantation. The air around Linessa erupted into a howling wind, swirling tighter and tighter around her before turning skyward, like a miniature tornado. In the best case, the updraft would provide enough suction to pull her out of the mud pit entirely; in the worst, it would at least pick up droplets of mud and fling them in all directions while the varying wind speeds would catch anyone who approached too quickly off-guard.

Cait's voice echoed through the mist. "Getting away? Hardly. If you recall, that was the offer I gave you. Then again, I suppose you don't remember your own name half of the time. I would say that such a mistake could be forgiven...but offering you the chance to run was already far more mercy than you deserved. So scream. Scream in anger, as your eyesight is clouded by mist. Scream in terror, as your lungs fill with mist. Scream your last breaths in pain, as you die choking on mist." Realistically speaking, there was no need for the dramatics, but it deterred people from bothering her once she was done. Besides, there was something about tormenting orks that resonated with her. A little spark that flickered into being at the sight of the dumb brutes flailing helplessly as their lungs filled with thick, noxious death. She had no idea where it came from, but a little indulgence now and then never hurt anybody. Walking right amongst the orks, she cast again, intensifying the mist that now enveloped the battlefield.

Sylvia glared at the ugly creatures as they attacked her sister. The very fact that they managed to land a hit was worrying; maybe more caution was necessary here. She flipped through her book until she finally settled on a page titled "Sylvia: Holy Restoration." In fact, to those that might catch a glimpse of the page, the title appeared to be the sole print of the page. Once again, the fragmented piece of her soul was temporarily reunited with the rest of her as a faint, glowing orb of light entered her torso.

After seeing that he missed, Chuck started thinking again about what he could do. "Hmm... Should I make myself stornger against magik? I don't know, but I'll make the creature weaker against physical damage..." Chuck then created a flame around the beast, a flame which would destroy the beast's armor, for a limited amount of time thou. "WHOEVER YOU ARE, ATTACK THE BEAST! TRUST ME!" he yelled at the unknown man.

Acar new he didn't deal much damage but seeing the elemental in pain form his attack was a pleasant surprise. However he knew he couldn't do enough damage on his own. He needed to help Linessa. He looked over at them and saw her stuck in mud struggling. Acar decided to hold off trying to attack and decided he wanted to help. He cast ice armour on Linessa keeping her safe from the elemntals.

He watched in horror as the creature's hand flung out in a blur and caught the bolt inches from its face. It slowly smiled as it snapped the steel projectile in two.

The idiot mage had begun spewing fire around like a drunken dragonet, screaming on about shooting the creature again. Momentarily distracted, it looked back towards the mage.

Oh gods, magikal fire...this is insane, we need to run...

We have assessed all known opportunities for flight. All directions generate increased levels of danger. Fleeing is not a recommended option.

Did anyone else notice...the magik-user is vulnerable?

Now is not an appropriate time.

Oh gods...its magikal fire...magikal fire!

The repeater thrummed as he snapped the bolt feeder into place. There was only one way out and it was through the damn bloodsucker, and the mage too if necessary. Lights danced in his eyepiece as he attempted to filter out the magikal signatures and focus on the diverted creature.

Crossbow to shoulder. Look down the sights. Largest vulnerable area: head. The flame-engulfed mage was still yelling at him. "Shut your god-tainted noise-hole," he muttered.

Fire! Gods...Fire!

"FIRE!", cried the mage.

He fired again.

Nahiri put the last bit of energy into the Hedron that it needed before releasing it. This one was made to increase the amount of energy one could draw for their spells.
She then quickly ran towards the orcs, trying her best to taunt them by yelling insults at them. Not that she was very good at thinking of good insults quite the opposite actually, but it was the only thing she could think of that might get them to attack her instead of the others. She would hate herself if someone else got hurt while she didn't even present herself as an seemingly easy target.

Dubhan grunted as the dagger failed to penetrate, but at least it weakened the creature. It was slower than he realised, he supposed, considering that he had managed to avoid its maw, though perhaps the now unmasked, enraged man had something to do with that. Dubhan's weak form was perhaps pathetic, but the power of dark magik and some solid armour allowed him to at least fight well, without the speed or strength of some.
Raising his hand, he waited until he could aim properly at the wyrm, and with the sigil activated, he pulled at the very blood that flowed through the veins of the beast, trying to forcefully tear it from its body.

Fiona couldn't tell how badly she'd been injured, but the pain seemed to be easily bearable. However, she couldn't put her full weight on her leg any further; hopefully these weapons were not poisoned as well.

Safely out of range for a moment, Fiona gathered light into a tangible mantle that formed around her. It shimmered and pulsed with energy, but it wouldn't remain long.

Erildus watched his missile slam into the ork, and watched it howl in rage and swing in his direction. He wonder if, perhaps, he should enter the melee. No, he thought. Better to burn them from afar. The mist that had appeared began to clear, leaving one of the orks standing in the middle of the fray, alone. Erildus brought his Inferno Device to bear, flipping the switch to let liquid flame course through the tube and on to the Ork.

Astora watched on as he saw the stranger trying to use his Magik to kill the beast. Astora, however didn't have time to mess around. "Stop wasting your time with your twigs and shit, we need to kill this son of a bitch NOW!" Astora shouted to the stranger. About to charge the beast, Astora stopped suddenly. The rush of adrenaline he's been feeling before had worn out. He felt pain, everywhere. Astora collapsed to the ground, not being able to stand properly. Struggling to lift his face off the dusty street, Astora screamed in torment. He never felt this kind of pain before, not since... Astors quickly shook that thought out of mind. He focused on his anger. He knew that was the only thing that could help him now. Slowly, Astora got onto one knee, he turned his head towards the beast and let out a relentless cry. He looked straight at the wyrm and he felt as if he could look straight into its soul. With all of the energy he had left, he needed to make use of it. He needed more health. Astora channeled his inner Shadow Magik and used Twisted Soul.
