Summary of the problem AE2 Annihilation Core Crafting

What is the bug? AE2 Annihilation Cores are un-craftable

Mod & Version Applied Energistics 2 rv5-stable-3

Is it repeatable? Yes, cannot craft in a standard crafting table or through AE2 auto-crafting. Can still shift+click items into crafting table via the JEI recipe but it will not show any output.

Just did a bit extra testing and it worked in an SP creative work however here is a screenshot to show the issue:

I tried to reproduce this - but I can't.

It worked for me both on a SP world and on a server.

Check if it works in SP in survival mode as well (you can still cheat the stuff needed in, but try the actual crafting as survival).

If this works, then the issue is at the server you're playing.
You didn't say that you are, but I'm guessing from context of your report.
If that's not the case, come back with a log as well - otherwise contact the server admin of that server for further help.

Well the server I was playing on was my own and after a restart, the issue resolved itself. I guess it was just a one-off issue.
