AE - Thermal Expansion and Dark Cable

In AE, the Dark Cable is used to toggle power on/off. I'm trying to power my AE network with Thermal Expansion stuff (e.cells, conduits, etc). How can I connect the Dark Cable to the Thermal Expansion power, so that I can turn off the power to my AE network (thus preventing the constant power drain?)

You can turn certain parts off with the Dark cable. To turn the whole system off send a redstone signal to the controller. Atleast that's what I remember, otherwise just use an energy cell and turn that off with a redstone signal ;b

Yep, dark cable is used for powering off/disconnecting parts of the AE system, not for disconnecting power directly from your power source.
