Hi,

I have a problem with AE crafting via interfaces in FTB unleashed. I tried the following:
- 1 AE interface containing the crafting patterns connected to some bc piping
- the pipes lead to powered furnaces
- the output of these furnaces is piped into another interface

this works fine if I put an item in the export config of the AE interface, but it does not work for the recipes in the processing slots. They appear in the AE inventory, but if I order something, nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

can you perhaps include a screenshot of the setup? Maybe of the gui's of the interfaces as well?

thank you for the hint - I'll try setting up a chest nearby. If that doesn't work, I'll try posting some screenshots.

Here's my setup:

AE Interface UI

and general Setup:

and when I now order glass, no sand is transferred. Any ideas how this might work?[DOUBLEPOST=1380226013][/DOUBLEPOST]
You could just put the interface right on top of the powered furnace

if it were just one, but I'd like to try this "load balancing setup" using insertion pipes & multiple furnaces (as seen in the screenshot above - which was posted after your answer of course).

Just pipe the items out of the furnaces into an output chest. put a basic Import bus on the output chest.

so the flow works like so:
Interface -> InputChest -> BC pipe -> furnaces -> BC Pipe -> OutputChest -> Import bus

the problem is not the import - that is working. The problem is that in case of crafting, no items get requested and nothing goes to either the input chest or the pipe directly.

Make sure you put your encoded pattern in the slot like you have in the screenshot. Then leave the export/import sections empty.

Also check your network to see if you have any duplicates: Take the pattern out of the interface processing slot and make sure it also vanishes from your access terminal.

with your advice and a whack with the wrench so that the arrow point to the chest, it is working. Thank you.

Best way to handle load balancing is with factorization routers; no overflow, and count as an inventory for the interface to interact with. Just stick a router next to a row of machines touching, add a machine filter upgrade and you should be good to go once you specify the machine

An induction smelter on constant redstone signal would do far better than 5 powered furnaces, really.
