AE Auto Crafting with patterns and wood

Hi,

I just set up some auto crafting for solar panels, but realized after that when I actually let it craft a solar, the machine now wants all the various wood types that NEI put in the Pattern Encoder when I clicked the little ?. This is different from earlier versions. AE was able to interchange wood types, only ores were always not interchangeable. Am I missing something?
I'm playing the DW20 1.6 pack.

you can just put it back in the pattern encoders output slot and change the odd wood types with a wood of your choice
