So... title explains it all. I have a 1 gig Dedicated server right now,for a few friends and I to play with. About.... 5-6 people? Something like that. Would I need to order more RAM,or should that be good enough?

The current 1.6.4 packs are recommended to run on no less than 2 GB of RAM.
You would probably have to reset the map frequently. I don't know anyone who runs servers well on 1 GB.
Well I'll try it out on 1GB and see if it works. I was just wondering what the recommended GB amount was,so.
I ran a server with 1 gig. Was a few patches ago. Had 5 people, everything was good until we had around 3 people with loads of equipment running. We starting having ram issues pretty bad.

Use MCPC+ and open the spigot config and turn the view distance down from 10 to 3.
You'll save a lot of ram and processing power by doing this.

Each server has 16GB. I only assign 8GB to java for under 150 players. You need to restart your server every 12 hours. Which is the norm.
You never want to assign more than half the ram of what you have installed. You have to count for OS overhead and other applications.
