Seriously though, don't. A floating snowball caused by a bug is pretty awesome.

I decide to have a little fun and a cult is suddenly formed. *sigh* I hope the kangaroo doesn't hear about this or I'll never hear the end of it.

This bug is caused by throwing a throwable entity on the edge of an unloaded chunk then unloading the chunk the snowball is in (without loading the chunk the snowball should go to).

Solution: Kill the entity with MCEdit or Opis

This also happened a lot with ghast balls but you could always hit them and make the go again. A snowball you can't.
