Nope.
Hahaha, I'm starting to feel like in the argument skit from monty. The wiggling space IS small, it's just you that's the odd one out, you know, the gimp thing, you proved me right in that again just now
Two slots for durability? NEVER. I NEEDS MORE POWAR.
So I'm happy just to repair the tool. You're using IC2. DoctorOr said he was using moss. My testing found moss to be stupid, stupid slow so I can only assume either that got way amped or he knows something I don't. I even heard people on FC2 grousing about how insanely slow it was. We're also both of the opinion that Cobalt is as far as you should go, I think.
Because once you have a diamond and an emerald on a cobalt tool, you are just never, ever gonna run out of durabilty on a single mining trip. I made it and I've mined out a lot of chunks and done a ton of caving and run around the nether collecting stuff like mad and I'm still at 3/5ths durability. And like ONE cobalt ore will repair it most of the way even with the mods. So yeah, I made 20 cobalt and keep it in a chest next to my tinker station. Call me gimp, but that's probably going to last me forever. Especially since, you know, the IC2 tools are a fools investment. Know why? Because you only need the high hardness for 2 materials in the nether and the rest of the time those tools are slower than a maxed out powertool that will work on everything AND has a bigger battery.
So sir: my powertool mines faster and has better power conversion. I only ever used the tconstruct stuff as a bridge for initial cheap mining and for a nice hard-material tool. I wouldn't have even gone that far were it not for the promise of new accessory objects in the future. Take that, min-maxer. I'm also better at finding emeralds than you are.
Man that guy sure has a nose for minmaxing/powergaming. He's like... my personal hero.
The go to person for balancing as well, I smell a nerf comming up.
Haha. Let me just gloat for a sec!
I felt really good catching him in his own trap with the Powersuit stuff though. He spends a whole day laughing about how strong the powersuit is, then I demonstrate that jumpwise and sprintwise, the quantum suit is the same thing (and carries a pretty damn big battery to boot). I also show that you can do the fast flight trick with an IC2 jetpack; he just didn't. He's like, "Hrm!" after I fall 220 blocks using quantum boots and take 0 damage.
Paraphrasing: "Harrmph. It's still not cool that it is power positive with the generator. I never have to worry about heat."
Then I regenerate the powersuits config to new defaults with RR0.7.2 and he actually self-immolates using his kinetic generator with just his leg pieces. Leaps in the air, lights on fire, dies instantly, pants aflame. Turns out the new defaults were exactly what he asked for, and you really do need a bunch of suit pieces with heat shielding to use a maxed out kinetic generator because at max it's so good. He removed some other heat-causing modules, but I think he's removed his powersuit legs entirely because he refuses to use other pieces.
It was all I could do not to spam the console with "U MAD?" and making a giant "U MAD?" out of lava outside his house. I wanted to. I dreamt of it.
