Question: do the ferrets require food? How do you get them to move? Electric prods? This system isn't *entirely* unrealistic, depending on how you motivate the ferrets.
It's called RFTools, and the mod author (@McJty) is making another mod specifically about generating RF. It's pretty neat; there's going to be a great big refinement system and some kind of pollution.Another option... There's a mod (I can't remember the name) that just added a power generation method using machines that toss Enderpearls from one to the next, with some pretty tight timing.
In a similar vein, build a multi-block structure with those new bounce pads from Vanilla (1.8) as a floor, glass panes for walls and fill it with Ferrets who proceed to do the "Weasel War Dance"
