I'm at a loss for what to do with the floor. I tried giving the CF a industrial feel, but I ended up with just 1960's office, so I painted the ceiling in stripes to enhance the bad lighting from the luminators, and threw a few pictures on the wall.

I do have a good selection of forestry wood, so I could use the wood worker. I've also considered concrete. Any thoughts you'd like to share on what I should do?

Colored clay works nicely for this sort of thing if you're on 1.6.2.

Artifice has some paver and antipaver blocks that could be used to make interesting zigzag patterns or even column patterns in the floor.

Railcraft has some neat colored blocks, although they look similar to the construction foam, and it might kill the look.

Making the floor out of multiblock parts (such as solid/liquid fuel boxes, crates, ME crafting CPU parts, etc.) can sometimes accomplish an interesting feel, in some cases.

Tinkers' Construct has a chisel which can be used to make interesting designs in stone, although it'll take a while depending on how big your office is, considering you have to eat the chisel like it's a stick of candy and magically turn things into chiseled versions because Mdiyo is so good at not mixing up animations chisel every single block.

Did they change it so that you can't just craft the block with the chisel to get the chiseled block? I don't use the chisel much.

Glass micro blocks down the middle showing cables underneath? with wool panels or carpeting to either side. Makes for a nice semi-industrial feel.

You can still just craft the blocks with the chisel. You can also use the chisel on blocks already placed in the world. It's much faster to use the crafting grid though.

Still in 1.5.2, so no colored clay for me. Unfortunately, I don't have any microblocks in my mod pack. I ended up just using a simple oak and lime wood design with teak and lime accents. I'm thinking about going a little darker than oak for the striping (or maybe darker overall), but I only have the forestry nut and citrus trees at the moment. It does look a lot better than the cobble/stone. :p

It's the first time I've used the woodworker. It's a nice little machine, and not at all expensive to run.

Leave it. It looks rather nice. It's easy to get carried away with this wood worker blocks. This is flat out nice

Wooden floors or if you're going for an "office building" feel, wool/rock wool. Most commercial highrises that have a similar feel/design furnish their floors with carpet. That or you could go with marble/basalt/amber bricks. Amber is a bit hard to come by and I don't know if the former two are in 1.5.2 because of RP (not sure if they're RP blocks).

They are from RP, and Amber is absurdly easy to come by if you go caving.
