Hey guys,
I am just another avid player who loves his modpacks but the problem is I only have a PC with 4Gb ram.I really can't get a better PC right now but I can run old packs like agrarian skies 2 with 57fps.But my time to be able to use the PC is less.Anyway I kinda feel left out when I play these old packs.

So what I want is a modpack that is - new, starts up quick, and is lightweight.Even if its a 3rd party modpack I have no problems.

Thx for the help.

You're better off picking a few mods that you like, add foamfix (for 1.10.2), and making the pack yourself.

Also, RAM is extremely cheap, so if you have a desktop PC (some laptops don't support RAM upgrades, but most do), then you can probably get 8gb for around $45 USD.

The other consideration is that you can generally add ram to a desktop (most good mainboards will have 4 slots) while most laptops only have 2 slots... If you're lucky the laptop is only using 1 slot, but usually you'll have to replace the ram to get more instead of adding, and laptop ram is considerably more expensive than desktop memory.

I'm with @erindalc on this - that's what I've done, and its surprisingly not as difficult as you'd think. I've been adding mods in gradually and seeing if it still works; I've been unable to add EnderIO, Tinkers Construct 2, Refined Storage or Environmental Tech to mine, for example, as it runs out of RAM (I have 3GB). But, I've got in Actually Additions, Roots, ExtraUtils2, Progressive Automation, Tiny Progressions, Dark Utilities, and quite a few others. You'd be surprised what you can put together! :)
