Is there any mods that would do like mcmmo did, I used to love the abilities and such that got unlocked after awhile like the treefeller ability, I don't wan't any kind of bukkit, spigot or Cauldron to mess up with my perfectly fine Forge server. I used some Treecapitator mods but I feel they are cheaty since they will get rid of whole tree even at the start of the game, you don't have to work to get that ability this is what I'm looking for actually, something that would have a progress tree, makes you better at bare hands combat if you fight mobs this way, better at mining, better at cooking and such.
