Closed 2.5.0: Vanilla Enchantment tables do not work

What is the bug:
When trying to enchant in a vanilla enchantment table the lapis renders in between the book and lapis slots, you're unable to place a book or get any enchantment selections. This occurs with or without bookshelves.

Are you using a 1.8 Texture pack? The enchantment table in 1.7.10 only has 1 slot and it's only for the tool. We're not using 1.8 enchantment mechanics in this pack https://sx.artdude.uk/hotlink-ok/darkosto/0ZE7-70f29-1463551563.png

Hmm... I'm using the faithful32 1.7.10 texture pack but that seems to be the case regarding the textures.
