FTB Launcher Code: trinity

Up to date Modpack Information Spreadsheet

Description:

Bloodthirsty for war but still feel that undeniable need to perform magic and become a technological master of automation? Trinity might just be for you! The Trinity Modpack aims to encompass 3 different aspects of game-play: War, Magic, and Tech, while attempting to provide a more balanced, progressive experience.
Although there have been others like it in the past attempting to conquer these 3 different styles of game play, we feel as though our mod pack does it very well. Trinity comes with customized configuration files to ensure balance, Minetweaker scripting when needed, months of work from 4 individuals, detailed spreadsheets logging every update/change made, and a smooth unique game-play experience to top it off.
The mod selection has been very critical on our part and a lot of mods have been removed as we felt that although we enjoyed them, they didn't suit our theme. A good example of this is ‘Galacticraft,’ which we had early on in developing the modpack, but was removed because it didn't fit in with the theme. We have searched long and hard for every possible mod that reflects our theme, and ended up finding some really great mods and some that aren't well known, and really work nicely with our idea. Classic and open world.
This pack contains Fastcraft, by Player, enabled by default. Fastcraft enhances Minecraft with increased performance. Bug reports being made directly to Mod Authors should state Fastcraft is enabled.

I must say one thing. Damn, this modpack is laggy. A lot. I break a block and it drops nothing. It takes a long time to do it.

May I ask how much memory you are allocating to run the pack? It is definitely not a 'light' pack, and it is recommended to allocate at least 5 gigabytes of RAM. Also, the mods Optifine and Fastcraft help a ton if your memory capabilities are limited.

We had Ars Magica 2 in the modpack for a long time, but then the mod author stopped development, and it was buggy at the time, so it got removed. But, I've heard its been picked up again, so I will have to look into re-adding it if it is more stable :D I LOVE ARS , so much fun!

I am allocating 4gb and i use Optfine and Fastcraft. I can run other modpacks (like mechanical titan, one extreme heavy) with only fps drop, not lag.

You are right, I am getting this issue as well, it is pretty much unplayable. For some reason it is ONLY when I run the modpack with the FTB Launcher though, with MultiMC it runs without issue or lag, I'm going to look into why this is occurring, and if you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks Vrork, and apologies for the issues.

So I think FTB changed something when I reported an Issue and decided not to tell me, because it runs just fine now, without lag :) If you get a chance to test it out again, let me know :) Always happy to help if I can!

Although you may be right no clue about that stuff lol, I don't think it was the issue this time! Anyways, fixed yay :p

Question, will this be a long time pack? because I've noticed most packs die after the next Minecraft update e.g. 1.8.1, I'm really happy this gets new mods frequently, makes things feel fresh.

As long as mods are being updated for 1.7 then we shall continue to update. Maybe at some point when all mods are 1.8 then we May consider updating from 1.7.10

Are there any servers for this pack?
There might be some servers around if you look.

We own a server so that we are able to develop the pack and bug test(which if you want to join just hit me up a message and i can talk about the process)
