Yeah I gave my niece a copy of minecraft, she was 9 years old at that time, didn't play that much until she got 13 years old, now she is 14 and hit puberty, so I don't know if she actually plays now, she doesn't talk that much to me at the moment. It's nice to see kids play though.
100% agreed! My two boys play my mod pack and they love it - and they are also given the most valuable feedback - helpful indeed!

Well I never did it, so you could leave it there maybe I will try it out sometime, or not, there are plenty of modpacks and I end up using the mods I know best allready, that's also why I like these packs with quests inside, that way you'll be somewhat forced to do certain mods.

First version of some quests for mods is coming with the next release (1.0.6). Still want to spend some time over the week-end to finalise one or the other mod.

Started playing the pack a few days ago. So far I like the mods. Many which are rarely seen even though they're alot of fun.

My playstyle... "No tinker's tools, no thermal expansion" :D
Trying out all the mods I havn't seen so much and their tools and ore processing. On the one hand to give me a lil challange to learn these mods, on the other hand since I totally know once I have tools from tinker's I will probably never really use the other tools, ever. I'm just too spoiled in these things x.x

[edit]
And I have my ore-doubling set up for aura cascade. *cheers*
Works actually really fine and the smelter/furnace of it is really fuel-efficient.
[/edit]

One question I have about configs:
Not sure if I'm the only one, but "1 extra block per upgrade" in the progressive automation mod always looks so painful for me (just for using one higher tier machine, so iron or even diamond, it's really really expensive. When you plan to use more machines of the mod it's like pure ore-grinding to get the ressources to upgrade them).

So, when I change the config to give more blocks per upgrade and the pack is updated and start with the lower value again: Can this lead to world corruption or something like that or do I just have to remember to change the config after every update before opening my world? :)

Having a small question, every 10 seconds the following error pops up, even when I am still looking at the main menu screen.

[18:29:32] [GA-DataSendThread/INFO] [STDERR]: [de.npe.gameanalytics.EventHandler$RESTHelper:sendData:209]: Failed to send analytics event data. Result of attempt: ok | Authentication hash used: f25404354a8f2f58b0985afd9e2cda17 | Data sent: [{"install_publisher":"1.8.0_73-b02","install_site":"en_US","install_campaign":"6.1","install_adgroup":"amd64","install_ad":"Windows 7","install_keyword":"client","user_id":"client82a5a269-4d6e-4e04-8b3c-cb3efb5096a1","session_id":"1462379331761","build":"unspecified"}]

It may be something I got to install manually or I am missing something and have to reinstall ftb launcher completely.

@Nezraddin I can't imagine life without tinker's tools but playing without thermal expansion seems logical, other mods are better I think and some are even cheaper, which I feel as a problem for TE at times.

Seems related to Aura Cascade (http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/aura-cascade-log-spam.146307/)
You can try to disable snoopers as suggested in the thread above - I will look into updating the mod in the next version to fix that.

And secondly - thanks for playing my pack! :) That means a lot to me!

Cool to hear you like my pack - that means a lot to me - really!

My playstyle... "No tinker's tools, no thermal expansion" :D
I found that creating a modpack without tinkers keeps almost everyone from playing it - I also rarely use it myself :)

I use Apple&Milk&Tea for even ore tripling at the beginning - the hyper jaw crusher is cool thing :)

Well in general it's a good idea to make backup of your world before updating! Just in case I make a mistake :)
For the config you want to change I can hardly imagine that a world corruption will happen but(!) you never know. So better remember what you have changed and repeat the change right after the update.

Thanks for the fast answer.

Guess I just have to be careful then, when updates come :D

And at some point I totally want to try this jaw crusher, had no luck yet with finding one of these batteries or Yuzu's. But didn't explore much yet, so hoping I am lucky soon.

I'll give my best and also test everything before the update - actually I'm always using the development version for my own Twitch streams to ensure nothing is broken.

Totally worth it and fun in my eyes :) Especially getting slug and the surprise what you get on a right click ;-)
Yuzus are easy to find - Batteries will really take I while - rare dungeon loot.

Another question I was dying to ask, what mod adds the scrap values? Is it something like EMC in equivalent exchange or something?

That's Thermal Recycling - the one that also adds the rubble piles - did you destroy some already? Quite fun for early game ;-)

To be honest I haven't done any mining yet, chopped some trees, found a meteor from ae2 and build a small house next to it and will get my first ores and such from the meteor side, started focussing on farming, which is what I do alot. I understand that you can find these rubble piles in caves, but if I do mine I usually go to a certain level and branch mine from there and the first branch mine I usually make is around diamond level, most the time at y level 12. But so far I found plenty of ores near the meteor, but only mined a few iron to make a bucket and scissors.

Sounds like you are having fun! Just once you find rubble, don't forget to break it ;-)

Yeah, taking things slow, still in my peacefull stage, when I start mining I should switch monsters on, but this is me playing in single player, on a server I do things alot more normal, somehow on a server it does feel like a race, but even though things work a little different as I am used to, these agricraft cropsticks are pretty expensive compared to other modpacks for instance and I come across ores I've never seen before, but that's the thing with these meteors I guess, lots of ores come to the surface that way.

Sounds cool still :) and yes Agricraft is expensive - but if you get the crops to 10 growth speed and 10 gain they are awesome. Fast growth and huge amount of drops.
And yes there is a lot of ores - some very useful for creating tools (like Amethyst and Sapphire)

Yeah I know about those ores, but I more hinted towards the various elemental infused ores I see here, by the way I think agricraft is nerfed a bit too hard in my opinion, especially in a single player world, not exactly sure if I like it this way.
