Hi, I really enjoy this modpack so far and would like to play with a friend, so if anyone could host a small 2 slot server for us some time that would be great, PM me if you're willing to help!

Why not just have you or your friend host your server instead of getting someone to host if for you, especially considering how you're pretty much asking that they don't play on the server they're hosting for you?

Beware of liberal use of the Nova cataclysm etc for mining. It really doesnt like too many entities. Reload the world several times without moving thenouse, and waiting for the broken stuff to despawn got my world back. Edit: only looks like it worked the first time. I moved down to the next smaller size of explosive, and it's broken now. trued reloading again and aghain which worked last time, It didnt..

I created a repair talisman and it doesn't repair my tinkers tools. I've had this work in other packs. Is this disabled purposefully?

I'm guessing that you've already checked, but is it just repairing them really slowly? I also want to say that in the old EE2, the talisman and tool had to be in an alchemical bag of holding or something of the like, but it's been forever since I've touched EE2 and ProjectE has a few differences I've already noticed, so that info is somewhat less than reliable.

Something I just noticed, but figured it would be worth putting here, if you're anything like me, you've either placed your matter transmitter right in the middle of things, or your base has sprawled to a point where you have to go right by it fairly often. If you don't want to constantly start teleportations and waste power, you can set it to private without adding yourself to the whitelist in it and it won't teleport you unless you turn it back to public.

I always go to my dialer and disconnect so that I don't accidentally start the teleportation cycle

I'm aware it's a known issue, but I'd like to take a moment to say that I'm currently stuck behind the netherwart/nether quartz barrier. If I had to suggest anything, maybe add the occasional block of nether quartz ore to those weird nether comet impact looking things, or maybe add a block of quartz or two to some of the structures or something. As much as I enjoy the pack, this nether quartz thing is killing me.

I was stuck there until I managed to find a dimlet for nether quartz ore. Just a warning: if you want to make a dimension out of the stuff, you'll probably want to check that the "chainReactions" line in the Nether Ores config is set to false. If it's true, spontaneously-exploding nether ores will explode nearby ores as well, and so on until there's nothing left.

Meh, if it happens, I'll just do the old Mystract "outrun the oncoming storm of death" trick. Or maybe I'll manage to mine out whichever one's smoking before it goes boom. Or die. I might die. xD

That's probably harder to do than you think. All of the worldgen structures (other than the starting platform, curiously) seem to prime some of the ores touching them, so literally every structure you see will be ringed in a grater rilled with explosions.

At least, if you make the terrain out of a nether ore. Spheres or tendrils should be fine- smacking one with a hammer might explode the whole mass of ores, but it'll be limited to just that one.

The config was enabled by default in Pathfinder 1.0.2; it might have been disabled since.

Testy, have you not received a netherrack material dimlet? I created a world with netherrack instead of dirt and it generated lots of quartz and glowstone. You could gather enough netherrack (128 blocks) to create a netherrack dimlet. There are plenty of those craters on the worlds I've created.

Also, once you have that first piece of quartz, the transformation table is your friend. you can make all you want.

Also, netherwart has a recipe in NEI - you can get to it through agricraft.

@Gideonseymour I completed all of the quests and really enjoyed learning about RFTools, Fluxed-Crystals, Clockwork Phase, Project-E, etc. I've been so focused on this pack for the last couple of weeks that I'm going to have to go on a hunt for my next obsession. Sincere thanks for a great, fun pack, Gideon.

I've seen the craters, but one had about 10 netherrack or so, and they're not super common. And I'm aware how ProjectE can mass produce quartz, but that doesn't matter if I can't get the first piece. And as for Agricrafting my way to netherwart, I've looked through NEI multiple times for the recipe for netherwart, and I've yet to see a crop mutation recipe for it. The only recipe I've seen is to put a seed between four quartz in a + pattern, so netherwart is also locked behind the nether quartz barrier.

EDIT: Just realized I can fabricate netherrack by way of ProjectE to get the dimlet, but it still feels a bit roundabout of a way to get quartz.

Haha, I know. It's just that I'm far from getting a decent base built, and I want to get some good food going, but I only have two cows. I planned on wandering around, finding and milking cows and putting the milk in a drum to take back home.
