I'm on Mars. Oh hey, small platinum and iridium ores, sweeeet.

Seeing that EV assembler recipe for thermal garments threw me for a loop though, finally put that 40m EU sitting in an ic2 reactor I ran once to use.

Outside of that, Mars kind of boring. Haven't made any tungstensteel yet though so I guess I'll be here awhile before pushing out to the asteroids.

Hey, every other time I go into an AE2 terminal my 't' key doesn't work for typing in the search box. Ring any bells? Means I find myself searching for sainless every other time.

Sweet. Yeah mars is sort of boring, but I did set up an ender quarry there, and it was worth it. I got tons of tin and desh, plus a fair amount of platinum, iridium, and more. I'm swimming in iron and copper from Mars also.

Also, yeah whatever broke the "T" key in AE2 with the 3.1.20 update, it really sucks. I have to actually click in the search box every single time I want to search for something now :( - More info about "t" key and AE2 here: https://github.com/JasonMcRay/InfiTech-1.7/issues/437

The 7 chamber 173 EU/t reactor is fine, but it's not stackable or automatable, so I came up with this very, very simple 5 chamber design
You could use the logisticspipes supplier pipe with placement upgrade or the gregtech regulator for automation.

Actually, on second thought it might be wise to stay away from any IC2 reactor designs that I came up with myself...

That might have happend because your failsafe (nuclear control redstone signal) didn't work because there is a bug in the fluid reactor http://bt.industrial-craft.net/view.php?id=1639

Yeah it is great for automated mining. I'm actually voiding the common metals. Keeping platinum, iridium, desh, radioactives, aluminum, titanium, and voiding the rest. I'm not sure the galacticraft tin/copper/iron/etc. should be in oregen since the GT versions are also showing up.

IBoring or not, I'm quite jealous of all these posts and images from around the Solar System!! It seems like I'm never gonna get there myself. But just gotta keep pluggin away, one step at a time.

Not sure how much prep work you've done but the best first step you can make is automated gunpowder/sand/flint so you can setup an Industrial TNT factory. I made a barrel and a half of that stuff before starting and have used over a third of it already.

I started rebuilding my nuke pit, and I'm going to go with Langer's 1 chamber design and make about 10 of them (I already have produced around 200 americium ingots, so I only need 400 more lutetium or so heh). Since I'm using all 1 cell type (quad thorium) I think AE2 import and export buses should be able to automate it. If not, I'll look into the LP options.

As for the 5chamber reactor blowing up, it wasn't a fluid reactor. It was supposed to be a Mark 1 design. Turns out it was a Mark 2 design instead :p

I'm at the point where 64k storage cells and level 10 jabba are cheap so I don't void very much. Having all this excess ore just gives me an excuse/reason to build more elaborate ore processing setups :) But realistically at this point any iron or copper ore I get goes directly into a maxed out multi-smelter.

Things I learned tonight:

-Automating IC2 nukes with AE2 import/export buses does not work in this mod pack.
-Langer's 1 chamber thorium reactor either isn't stable anymore or I screwed up. My hole in the ground is now almost 3x as large as it was previously...

-Warded glass works against IC2 nuclear explosions.
- I'm getting sick of blowing up nuclear reactors.

It isn't the expense, it is the crafting. Haven't done any AE2 autocrafting yet. Hate crafting that stuff manually since it is so repetitive.

Unable to create the ID 1422. Created from 4366. When I gather from this element ID 4366: 1, and does not collect in 1422.

How to solve this problem?

Oof. Autocrafting is the #1 reason I rushed to get AE2 as fast as I could. The very first couple recipes I created were for molecular assemblers and their components so I could craft more stuff. I've now got 8 crafting CPUs (all with at least 64k storage), 24 ME interfaces with 4 molecular assemblers each, 16 ME interfaces with 2 molecular assemblers each, and a couple of molecular assemblers with 4 ME interfaces each (for very low volume crafting things like GT tools). And then I've got EV GT machines set up for just about every possible recipe. I also set up some ME interfaces with crafting cards and storage busses on them to keep a stack of certain raw materials on hand at all times, and for items that I use a lot of I have a JABBA with an import bus with crafting card and a storage bus on the barrel also so I can keep 64 stacks on hand. I'm in the process of adding more crafting CPUs now because of all this auto-crafting that happens in the background.

If I ever make something more than once, it becomes a crafting recipe. Pretty much the only exception to this right now are things that require fluids in an assembler that aren't soldering alloy or redstone (like eIO double and octehedron capacitors) or things fluid canner recipes. I'll likely add those machines/recipes when I redo my base in IV machines and LuV power.

No idea. IDs are not usable in bug reports since 1.7.10 because they can differ across multiple isntances. Please provide name of the item.

@Blood Asp, okay.:confused:
I make large steam turbine. I've got some steam for turbine.:)
and than i read
It will not deactivate by running out of steam.
(c) http://ftb.gamepedia.com/Large_Turbine.
and I turn off steam production. and turbine stoped. and then i turn on steam production. and turbine not activated by steam input. and i have to stick it with rubber hammer, and it start his work.:(
WHY, Blood Asp, WHY U wrote a lie?(it's a bad acting)

Hm I thought I fixed that myself.

Is there a reason why Reika's tech mods (rotarycraft, reactorcraft, and electricraft) aren't in this pack? They would complement the Gregtech core with the steam and IC2 electricity converters built in. Rotarycraft could act as an alternative tech path for the early/mid game and Reactorcraft could provide substantially greater power in the end game.

Third time's the charm I hope:

At least I hope it is, this hole can't get much bigger without causing me some issues :)

Using this reactor and hoping I screwed up the last time I tried it: 0D1C0D0000000000001C0D1C0000000000000D140D0000000000001C0D1C0000000000000D140D0000000000001C0D1C000000000000

This time it's all encased in warded glass though. I did some testing and I was able to automate cell placement and depleted cell removal with just simple eIO conduits since I'm using all the same type of cell.

Damn, how did that reactor design i posted (made by someon else) blow up? I had it stable in 3.1.16, i cant remember any mod changing the mechanics since then...
