That might not be necessary. Just did some more research and testing and it looks like soy milk makes silken tofu now instead of the soybean itself. Didn't realize the mod had changed that recipeAlright, a recipe will be added in the next release

I am going to have to swap that quest up a tad then... the reason there is double soy milk than tofu is because I thought it was going to require the old recipe (so 2 soybean when you submit 2 milk, 1 silken and 1 firm)
speaking of that quest, what's the 2nd detection for it? There's nothing in the list

I'm having a blast so far with this pack and want to return the favor. I believe I figured out why the potatos and carrots are still dropping. You need the { and } for each of the different functions. I've copied the contents of the zombie.json file in the spoiler below. I added those characters and have tested with a few hundred zombies (thanks soul shards!) and haven't had a single potato or carrot yet. Feather drops seem to be working as well now. I got very few feathers before and I think it was only from chicken jockeys.

not sure if i was extremely lucky or its a mistake, but 10 minutes in the game and i already have a Solar panel and a Redstone furnace

If you look up the uses for oreberries. If in the redstone furnace they give a nugget, then you will be terribly inefficient

Yeah, to make a machine frame there is the invar and PCB way and the blood altar way, which require you to use the old machine frame recipe (to make factory machine block) which you then put into the blood altar (with 2k lp) to get basic machine frame.
