Are there an examples of how to do the updated textures? Can you use a player skin for the textures or do you need to use a custom villager style?

Standard villager template for their textures.

Having trouble using the mod... I haven't actually changed anything but every time I try to trade with a villager from a mod I crash. I don't entirely understand how to use the mod or where the problem is originating from. I'm using Custom Villagers 2.0.37 and Elec Core 1.4.175. Any suggestions? :(
 
Does this mod need to be installed on the client? The ability to alter villagers on a server, without requiring players change their modpack, would be very powerful.
