Hi, I am playing the Direwolf20 1.7.10 pack and I am having problems automating Apiarys.

Autarchic gate doesn't seem to be in this pack so I tried to use Ender IO but that didn't seem to work either (or I did something wrong).

Has anybody automated Bees in 1.7.10 yet and could help me out please?

Any help for my problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

Going to be creating a video on this tomorrow showing the various ways to automate apiaries. You can use Extra utils, BC Pipes, SFM or EnderIO conduits (with adv filters), you have there the most cheapest and simplest way and the most expensive but most hidden way (EIO conduit only need 1 connection to the apiary to automate them).

Edit: Also you don't need an autarchic gate a basic gate will do, fitted with an autarchic pulsar.

Edit 2 - video added

You need an integration table by your laser grid, put in a pulsating chipset and one gate and it will craft.

Sure thing, I just tested it, it's also how you make all the different upgraded stuff like robots and whatnots

Really looking forward to this. I read this thread and tried using ender io conduits to automate things. I haven't gotten it working it yet. I am thinking I am coming at it from the wrong angle now.

I use mainly eIO item conduits with a single BC Diamond Pipe to filter out extra drones.

On each Alveary/Apiary, I put 1 eIO item conduit and 1 chest. On the eIO facing (touching) the bee block, I set to "In/Out" mode. On the "In" sub-tab, I raise the priority. On the "out" sub-tab, I enable and make sure "self-feed" gets enabled. This ensure Princess and as many drones as can fit get re-inserted back into their home. Only overflow goes into chest.

On the chest, I set to "Input" only and make sure priority is lower than same connection on bee-house.

Then, on other side of chest (different side, different eIO network), I extract its contents, along with contents from all other chests from other bee habitats.

At the centralized collection point, I dumped into 1 chest, then apply BC wooden pipe and BC diamond pipe. I filter out (trash) extra drones. Everything else that's left are my "good" products and I keep those.

Oh, one more argument for eIO : the Reader Tool !! You can SHIFT+R-click to copy conduit settings and R-click to paste. This makes for quick and bug-free configuration of a lot of bee homes (Alveary/Apiary).

Damn i set mine up last night using apiarists pipes, golden transport pipes and wooden transport pipes with autarchic pulsed gates connected, works well just takes a little longer to set it up :)

Its also nice to see a few other people are still using bees! Now I've just got to wrap my head around these new machines then ill be fine :-D

Yes, I love my bees :)

Re: machines

Binnie's ?

They're slightly buggy and documentation is sparse, but they work well enough. Much less power, but more complicated. There's no less than 5 liquids specific to Binnie's Genetics machines. I recommend intermediate holding tanks, ex. ExUt drums.

Using these machines, I combined traits from about 6 different tree species to make the ultimate Ethanol sapling.

You can use machines to isolate and combine bee traits as well, but Oblivion Frames + [TT]Thaumic Restorer + Max. Fert. Princesses is faster, in my experience.
