Fair enough. None of the comments I saw were particularly more disparaging of the work, more saying that they weren't excited/were waiting for other things. That could just be me not picking up on these things.

At least here we can have a debate with differing views & little if any flame wars, this in its self shows respect for the fellow players & members of this forum, this pleases me, this in not the case on some other MC forums & MC's own forums, plus the forum staff here do a good job keeping things inline.

2. Makes absolutely no difference when youre geared up. EZ mode still activated.
What are they thinking? Its like they get drunk and are like dude...dude dude duuuude wait. what is. wait. what IF zombies had SUPER HEARING. dude. and could hear you from a mile away BUT THEN.. dude but then..they could spawn more zombies. For no reason! More vodka?
Next we will have skeles that shoot zombies that duel wield endermen that are carrying creepers.

The idea is that they horde up on you.
If you're playing vanilla, the hope is that you'll end up with GROUPS of zombies rather than the single useless ones. After all, zombies are only scary in large numbers. I think it's pretty cool, the game is easy enough as it is. Plus, 2000 blocks is basically a stand in for "infinite" here. After all, in vanilla, there are no chunk loaders. Not to mention the fact that you might not always be accessible to EVERY zombie in the world (caves and stuff).
Anything that makes the game more challenging (not more grindy) is awesome in my book.
What I was amazed with was the loading time. Click Play. wait wait wait (five or less seconds later) BAM, can click on single player or multiplayer or quit... That's amazingly fast for what I have to wait with modded FTB and such. I wonder if it will be like that when I've got 100+ mods to load. We'll see. 
I hardly notice MC bugs, what i DO notice is importiant, Functionality addin mods vanishing because there have been too many updates and the modders gave up

Honestly, I love the idea of riding horses. Pigs are just so last wek, and I'm not a big fan of Mo' Creatures. Now mDyio needs to come up with a Lance which does additional damage while charging on horseback...
I would so use the lance since I wanted to make an arena so that would deffinantly help
