Well that is odd, Tapa-Talk hasn't been giving me notifications :( Nor has the forum's subscribe system.

Either way Demigod, I am sorry you think the server sucks, but if you like the pack, why not download the server files and make your own? Or see if someone else will. As for Texture Packs, Sphax has most of the mods (you will have to add them all to the base TP one by one though, I might be able to put together a single file with all the modded textures in it for sphax, but I will have to look into their distribution guidelines. I know however that I am not allowed to distribute the base textures), I am not sure about other texture packs.

123nick, make sure that there are no capital letters, other than that it is just the packs name. If you still have issues go to Options > Advanced Options > Download Location, and try different locations, the client might be picking a bad server. If that does not work, please contact the FTB team about it.

Nick, if what tina said dosnt work then you may have to try this:
if your client crashed during the download, you may have to wipe the FTB folder in the users directory - it saves backups in the form of xml documents ... if the xml survived the download you will get an invalid pack error when attempting to load the modpack again.
C:\Users\[yourusernamehere]\AppData\Roaming\ftblauncher
Make sure that you can actually search for hidden objects, or your users folder wont show up.

As for texturepacks, i found that soartex while it dosnt have as many addons as sphax, does allow you to download and add texture items to the pack using its own executable, this means you download the .exe, run the program and you pick what textures you want for your installation, it will then download AND zip them for you ... all you have to do then is place them in the correct folder.

Also, is anyone else unable to get a gui response from the computer cube?
Or did he change it and the wiki not update?
Im asking because the nuclear reactor planner from ic2 hasnt been updated to include the experimental versions, this renders the planner rather ... unreliable? when it comes to making a working reactor, i was hoping that the computer cube would still carry a reliable planner, but it dosnt work the way it did last year -_-

Ok, so I have been thinking lately, and due to the fact that my computer is no longer able to really run the pack (I can move a bit, then I freeze for like 30-120 seconds, and that just repeats for a while). So, I am making the decision to stop development of the pack until I can get the money to build a better computer. I will also be taking down the server, anyone who wants to host the official server can message me.

So, seeing as I have a laptop that can run the pack, I will be picking it back up soon! Some mods may disappear, and you WILL see some new ones being added. Also I plan to do my best to minimize the ore multiplication. (I will see if I cant get it down to 1 or 2 versions of each ore)

Stay tuned for more updates. Also, I am still planning how I am gonna do the public site. It is in shambles at the moment cause I redid my web server.

Final Note: THE OFFICIAL SERVER WILL NOT BE RUN BY ME (For the foreseeable future)

UPDATE: I am currently working on updating all of the mods in the pack currently. It looks like a few of the mod sites are down (Calclavia's sites mainly) so I plan to have 1.0.4 up in a week at most. You will also see Gregtech disappear in 1.0.4, and if I can get it not to crash the pack WRCBE will no longer be disabled by default.

The TC site will be worked on slowly, seeing as I am not running the server there isn't too much of a purpose for it at the moment.

SIDE NOTE: Anyone playing the pack can use the soartex TP as Technicataclysm is a supported pack on the launcher.

Scrapping gregtech?
Guess ill be waving goodbye to the pack then.
infact, if youre scrapping GT, you may as well throw anything to do with IC2 out the window tbh.

I may make it optional, have it there but disabled by default. That and I will probably mess with the config to make it more fun and less of a pain. (I liked GT in 1.2.5/1.4.7/1.5.2 but 1.6.4 is just painful)

Tina, Talk to Tubbytoad42 on the Technic mods page;

http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/serendipity-unlimited.178697

For their modpack they removed the dependency on the bronze age machines and reverted to ic2 casings as per 1.4.7.
I can see your frustration with that segment, doing that on my own project world, PLUS a multiplayer lan with my brothers was something i have no desire to repeat (we cheated in the basic ic2 machines and went from there).
Do bear in mind that for the most part, modpacks will be moving to 1.7. soon - Direwolf20 is already doing a forgecraft series based in the latest version, so releasing a patched-up 1.6.4 version isnt going to be hanging around for too long, though a fix for the Galacticraft crashes on the moon would be nice and the item mismatches in GT (energy circuits and water cells).
Either way, you're probably looking at a major rewrite due in the next few weeks as FTB and Technic roll out the 1.7's.

Yeah it looks like all the mods basically have updated... So I think I will just go 1.7 ( there are a few mods that I can't find the final 1.6.4 versions for anyways...)
