Elysium ~ A place of ideal happiness; a paradise.

The rise to your own Elysium can be long, arduous, and fraught with many dangers. Gregtech and a tweaked Tinker's Construct provide a sense of progression, Thirst and Hunger Overhaul increase the difficulty of basic survival, while a wide array of mob related mods add to the variety of threats present in the world, and this is merely scratching the surface of mods contained in this pack.

Pack Code: RTE

So, I got sucked into modpacks with a TekkitLite server, modpacks were a completely unknown thing to me, sure I had heard of mods, but to me, those were for single player stuff, how wrong I was. Anyways, as the network jumped between packs, as worlds died and player bases shifted, I kept trying the 'next thing', but nothing really changed that much. You could still reach a fairly high progressed state of living with a couple power sources and a handful of machines, and have nothing really to do than biggering it or automating everything just a little better. Horizons then popped onto the scene, with blood magic and many other mods that I hadn't ever seen! Only then did I bother to see what mods were actually out there, and I was greeted by an overwhelming number of them. After asking around awhile about what mods people liked, someone mentioned Gregtech, and then I knew what was wrong, everything was too easy.

Change Log

I would like to thank the owners of Andromeda Network for hosting the server for me, and I would like to thank everyone who has played it or will play it.

You can't punch which wood? No one has yet to encounter a lack of tree harvesting.

This is truly a fantastic pack. Sohala has put countless hours tweaking everything to increase the longevity of playtime in this pack. Most tech packs you spend a few hours mining, slap together all the machines, boost your ore output, and have quarries running in no time. But the tiered progression of iguana tweaks mixed with gregtech truly creates the "grind" that most packs are missing to achieve high tiers of technology.

All in all, you can immediately recognize all the time and effort he's put into reaching close to perfection in his goals for this pack. I would highly recommend trying it out. If you enjoy a challenge, you won't be disappointed.

Out of probably around the 20 different modpacks I have played in the last couple years, this has got to be the most intense, difficult, frustrating at times, but all around fun modpacks. I have spent over 24 hours playing to date and I'm still at the equivalent of the 3 hr mark of one of the simpler modpacks offered by FTB. Truly a well designed and thought out modpack the virtually has no easy way of going about things. Props to the developer Sohala.

I just started and got killed directly by a cyclops. I respawned, got some wood and a cyclops killed me. I don't say that i don't like difficult modpacks but those cyclops! 2 hits and i'm killed! Can you make that not everything kills you like when you have been nearly getting a crafting table? I like the idea of the pack but maybe i should just play something easier? (Sorry if it was bad english!)

Try Blood 'N Bones.

What? No. I'm not being sarcastic or anything.

If you're looking for something more Open World, I would recommend Crafting Paradise or Material Energy^3. If you're okay with a closed environment, I would suggest Running Red or HTM: Golem Factory.

Crash Landing is also an option, but that also involves being killed instantly.
Have played all of them.:p Crafting paradise was not the best and still playing ME3. I liked Running red untill i accidently falled of my island, and golem factory was a bit too much wating for me. crash landing is actually really fun (Maybe beacuse i cheated a bit?) but i liked all of those packs!:D (And if there is problems whit my english i'm sorry!)

No hey, it's all good.

If you're alright with 1.7.10 packs, I recommend PhoenixCraft II or Vaelstrom.

The Cyclops are running on their default stats, the only catching being that Infernal Mobs is making them hostile, which in turn with their daylight spawning, makes them rather lethal.
