About the server:
Server is Whitelisted and Hosted in the Eastern USA, so if you live extremely far from the server you have to consider possible lag. Routine World backups set for every 30 minutes so you do not have to worry about loosing your work. The server is a custom made mix of mods using mostly the newest 1.5.2 versions with a focus on balance around gregtech. There are some mods that make early game alittle easier with gregtech for the players that may have a hard time while still keeping a decent balance with GT's recipes, One of these mods is Dartcraft.
My IRL friend and I host the server on Creeperhost using the Zombie tier of hosting which has 2Gb of ram. I have the server set to backup every 30 minutes so if something somehow went wrong I always have plenty of recent backups. All the config files were edited by me to keep a good balance with gregtech and offer a challenging experience while still being fun. The server is new so I am still tweaking the configs for balance if I see something that is to hard or to easy I will make changes in the config. For instance The need for a saw to make wooden planks with gregtech installed has been disabled, you can make planks the normal vanilla way. The number of planks you get with gregtech has not been changed tho.
The mods are not just thrown together they were selected for reasons. Some of the mods make the world more more enjoyable and interesting. For instance Natura and Mo'Creatures make exploring the world fun and interesting, No more boring nether. The nether is amazing with new mobs, lots of ores, plant life, etc.
My IRL friend and I are both 27 years old and mature, we do not grief or cause issues. We are helpful, friendly and looking for 2 folks to be able to relax talk on voice chat with and play minecraft. Having people to talk to and share ideas and stories with while playing a game like minecraft adds so much more to the experience. We are looking to make new friends to play minecraft with and relax in the game world to have fun and forget about the stresses of everyday life.
Rules and Banned items:
There are NO banned items.. And the only rules are common sense: No Quarries or Strip mining in the overworld, that's why we have mystcraft. No crazy intentional thaumcraft flux destruction, if you are going to do something you know is destructive do it in a mystcraft world we can easily replace those.

We would prefer you have a mic and be willing to chat with us on raidcall or skype. Its just funner to be able to BS with the folks your playing minecraft with.
And This is very important: Me and my friend Pitch in equal amounts of money to pay for the server, anyone that joins needs to be able to do the same. Hosting is $18.18 a month (you can check creeperhost.com yourself if you don't believe me) This will be split Equally between everyone on the server, SO if there are 4 people on the server each person donates approx $4.50. If you are willing to pitch in for server costs then you are most likely serious about being on the server and less likely to cause trouble. And also Its only fair for everyone to pitch in on the costs together, We are all enjoying the server and playing on it so why should 1 person pay everything? People spend that much money to rent 1 movie. I would think getting a months worth of enjoyment on a dedicated server with friends, no chance of being griefed, no banned items and barely any rules would be worth the costs of renting 1 movie. We want a tight knit group of people that will become friends and have fun on the server together not some random freeloader looking to join any random server to wreck havoc on it. I'm sure the mature adults out there can appreciate this and those mature adults are the type of people we want on the server as friends.
