please fix aether II the whales are buggy and really fast and instakill me


Working on that. The fix might come with an update to MC 1.6.2 when it's possible, that if I won't figure out which mod breaks it because right now I don't see it being a problem from Aether 2 itself. I tested the aether mod alone and they seem to work ok, same with the mod pack but not at all times. For now it's best to avoid them or take stronger armor if possible :)

Thanks for reporting the issue.
If you look in the ForgeModLoader-client-0.log file (right after the crash) you'll probably see something like [WARNING] [Minecraft-Client] Skipping Entity with id -79 (negative ID) and then a large error message. Should you encounter any other problems, could you please post the contents of that file to http://paste2.org/ or http://pastebin.com/ and then post the URL here?

@Marius, that's the bug I reported on the HappyDiggers forum earlier. It's a problem caused by the combination of Ultimate Nether + Aether 2. According to AtomicStryker entities are apparently reporting their name as "null" which is invalid behavior causing the client to crash. Removing either Ultimate Nether or Aether 2 seems to fix the issue.

Version 1.3.0 has been submited. In this version we have removed the Ultimate Nether mod to solve some conflicts between mods but we might re-add it when the pack will be updated for 1.6.2. This update also brings some more magic if you know what I mean ;)

Ok guys, so the event I was talking about a few days ago will be the opening of the official HappyDiggers RPG server where all of us will have fun from now. It will be also be a chance for our community to get along once again since many of us have stuff to do and don't get a change to play with everyone at a time.

The event will be a team based game, each team having 5 members: 1 is the leader (chosen by the admins at the event) and the team mates chosen by the leader. The goal of each team is to build up and evolve their base as much as they can till the end of the day and they can also play some pranks on the others if they find the base of the competition. :p
After that they can stick with their team to continue playing on the server of leave that base to someone and move along with anybody you want to.

Each team will also have the possibility to make their own channel on our TeamSpeak server to talk to their mates.

Some details you might need:
Date of the event: 21 September 2013 (21/09/13 ; 21.09.2013)
Hour of the Meeting: 5 PM Europe time (British hour)
Event Type: RPG server Opening

IP of the server will be announced right before the event will start. I will make another post with the IP when that happens and update the main thread. Till then prepare yourself for some fun and a good time for pranks. :D

I'm enjoying the mod pack so far, the only trouble I'm having with it is when I turn it off peaceful and my frames drop to 2-5 and lags like hell? Do you know what could cause this?

Strange... didn't encounter that before. It may have to do with too many mobs that are around you and when you change to peaceful they all vanish at once. Do you keep getting lag or it happens only for a few moments after the difficulty is changed?

There weren't that many around me when I changed to peaceful, and they don't all disappear at once. It only lags when I have it set to hard.

I think I gotta look more into it so far it works well for me and other players. I recommend to keep the difficulty to normal or easy for now to be safe from lag. Also if you encounter any errors/crashes post it here with a link to paste2.org

I tested it some more and I lag on easy and normal too. On peaceful I'm getting around 25-35 fps.

For some reason FML keeps failing on the startup. It says "Minecraft can not launch on its current configuration."

Please check you ForgeModLoader-client-0.log file. It's probably because some libraries couldn't be downloaded.

If that's the case then that is not something we can do anything about unfortunately because we do not control those download servers. Best thing to do is try again later.

If it's not a failed download, then please copy the contents of ForgeModLoader-client-0.log to paste2.org and give us the link to your paste so we can see what's going on.

The error "Minecraft can not launch on its current configuration" is a result of forge changing their file locations. Download the fallowing files and place them in your lib folder.

When you download the two .stash files remove .stash from them to convert them back into a .jar
Once these files are placed into your lib folder the modpack will run.

I've got the following error showing up in my server log. It happens seemingly randomly, and happens if someone is on the server or not, which makes me think it's related to one of my chunk loaders.

I'm playing a slightly modified version of FTB Happy Diggers 1.7.2, which is on 1.5.2

Based on the historicity of the bug, i'm going to bet the chunks causing it are the ones i have active in the nether. The only things in that chunk are the world anchor, an ender tank, a force engine, and a redstone torch.

EDIT: I disabled my nether chunk loader, and the error went away.
I turned the chunk loader back on, and the error came back.

EDIT2: Whoever merged my thread with this one, without letting me or the OP of this thread know, THANKS, that was real swell of you.

The error "Minecraft can not launch on its current configuration" is a result of forge changing their file locations. Download the fallowing files and place them in your lib folder.

files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/guava-14.0-rc3.jar
files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/asm-all-4.1.jar
files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/deobfuscation_data_1.5.zip
files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/scala-library.jar.stash
files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/bcprov-jdk15on-148.jar.stash
files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs/argo-small-3.2.jar

When you download the two .stash files remove .stash from them to convert them back into a .jar
Once these files are placed into your lib folder the modpack will run.
