What is the bug:
Version 1.3.1 actually
Gene samples don't normally stack, but like most item do if you use an Extra Utilities filing cabinet. However when shift right clicking to remove a sample from a stack (this mostly happens when removing a number of them to recycle excess) the stack number goes to 1 sample of that trait in the cabinet (usually from 10 or higher) without the samples going to the inventory. So the excess samples are lost and so is the chance to regain the blank gene pool or the dna.
