1.0.3: Bat mode headspace issue

What is the bug:
Actually 1.0.4 - but not able to select that on the above list.

I went to the nether and created a 1 block tunnel up at bedrock in 1.0.3, after updating I was unable to go to bedrock just to one block below, holding shift made the view bounce. Once I changed out of bat mode and back again I could access the space.

Also after leaving the nether I tried to go to the ceiling of my house with the same result.

Leaving bat mode and returning removed the bounce.

Can it be repeated:
I have repeated the action by going to the nether and back 4 or 5 times with the same result. Not sure if it is of any relevance but I use mystcraft linking books to travel

Known Fix:
Changing to bat mode after changing dimensions

I noticed this issue last night when we updated our server to 1.04. It was happening when mystcraft teleporting (intra-linked books) from place to place in the overworld.

Edit: This also happens when simply using the normal Nether Portal
