1.0.3: 1.03 - Building Guide no longer showing spectral blocks

What is the bug:
Updated my server to 1.03; when attempting to use the Building guide, it no longer shows spectral blocks.
We've tried deleting and remaking a new block, changing the settings on the block itself (shape/size), tried different locations on the server- it does not show spectral blocks.
We have tried both the default texture pack, and Sphax's; still no spectral blocks.

Can it be repeated:
Create and place an Openblocks Building Guide (1385)

Try giving it a red stone signal. This happened on another pack and that was the problem.

Yeah the configs changed so that it requires a redstone signal now.
