1.0.2: 4GB ram, java 8 lag

What is the bug:
Hy. I have 8 GB ram and FTB use 4GB.. I have an Intel Core I5 2500K, and the vanila minecraft is run more then 100fps, but direwolf pack only max 10... I wait for generate the map, one hour, but after this, i haven't got more FPS... How can i fix it?

try toning down the settings in journey map
specifically the ones related to entity caching and radar

And turn off the webserver in JourneyMap.

Or just turn it off completely and use Opis. Or install a different map mod entirely.
Also install Fastcraft.

Turning off the webserver made a big difference for me and I have a similar setup. Thanks for the tip.

Permgen is a big problem, try entering this into the Java Additional Parameters:
-XX: PermSize=256m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m

^Take out that space between the : and P, that's just so it doesn't do

Well I use java 8 and that has destroyed lag.

I crash every now and then with a "max permgen size ignored. No longer supported" error I'll pop your parameters in just for poopoos and hahas
