    I found the problem. Turns out I was using stone brick slabs instead of stone bricks :P they do look exactly the same though. But now I'm having an issue with elemental inks. I can't find any recipe for them anywhere, even in NEI, or for the activation crystal.

    So, I set up a 5th tier blood altar in creative mode, and when i right click on it with the divination sigil it says it's only tier 2. I tried making just a tier 3, and the same thing happened. Is there something I'm missing? I'm going by the pictures in the minecraft forum page since I can't...
