I was getting the lag spikes in a new world :/ In the last pack, when people were getting ticking entity crashes on startup, there was an extrabees config option that needed to be changed and that fixed it. It also stopped lag spikes for me. I just can't remember what the config was...

I'm having the same issue... Frequent lag spikes that freeze the game for a second or two. Didn't have a problem beforehand either

Biogas engines work really well for me. Later on I'm going to convert my biomass into boifuel to run a boiler which in turn can supplement all my energy needs! Both MJ and EU! My base isn't very power hungry at the moment lol

Build a small glass cage with nothing around it and pack it full and watch! If they do die, you should be able to see their drops in the glass or on the ground. I might be wrong though.

It continues to burn I believe. It uses less fuel once it's all heated up though. That's what I gathered from messing around wirh it. It will always make steam if the temperature is over 100 C. Steam is technically considered a liquid code wise, so you can store steam in tanks.

Yep I can confirm this. Either disable optifine or turn off mulit-core chunk loading. It's a known bug from what I understand.

So would this cause lag spikes? I've been having this issue since v6 of the MindCrack pack. I honestly don't quite remember if it happened before... I didn't notice at least. Now, I get lag spikes fairly frequently that last for a second or two and it's extremely frustrating. Java is up to date...

I just uninstalled optifine as it has been giving me nothing but problems. I hope it's the source of some random crashes as well. Hopefully this fixes the lag spikes. Edit: Still getting lag spikes after uninstalling optifine, but not as bad. Strangely, my FPS went up as well. No crashes either.

I disabled the minimap and that helped quite a bit. I also updated to V5 and overall my FPS is higher. Every once in awhile though, I get a massive lag spike.

So now that inventory tweaks is added, I can't find the thread where someone had updated the sorting tree to include most of the non-vanilla mods. Anyone got a link?

Well if you are using the lava for energy, specifically EU, you could have a geothermal facility in the Nether filling up lap crystals and then filter them out of the MFE or MFSU with redpower filter and into an enderchest. Empty in the Overworld and send back.
