    Problem Disable crafting an item, allow admin/server to grant?

    You should check out FTBHelper. Just found out about it recently, but have been using it on my server and its great at getting the job done and very simple to ban items in whichever way you wish (inventory, craft, usage, etc) http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/ftbhelper/
