Ah thanks. But I have never had the issue until the update, so I suspected that there was something weird going on. About how FTB prefers 32-bit over 64-bit. I still don't know why a 64-bit Java installer would install both versions though. That seems pointless.

A website has a completely different type of code from a launcher. I personally don't know what code the launcher uses, but I am going to assume that it's mostly java and java has a much different coding language from when you want to code a website to do certain things. This makes sense...

According to the minecraft launcher, minecraft 1.7 is just about to be released as a version. The 1.7 snapshot is now out with a name instead of 13w43a for example. 1.6.4 will NOT be staying alive very long because 1.7 is almost out and many mods have already updated. Some mods aren't updated...
