    Ultimate Pack

All the 'Crackers I watch edit their videos extensively to remove most of the tedium of digging, mining, crafting, and building, and do significant prep work outside recordings, so all that extra work is never part of the videos. The one I had watched who tended not to do much editing or prep, I...

    Ultimate Pack

At least 9 mods I haven't touched in Ultimate, 8 of which I'd just as soon never use. Then there are those you can't avoid, like them or not, due to intrusive (not saying undesirable) worldgen or interference with other mods. Many others are support mods. Not counting the support and worldgen...

    Ultimate Pack

Talk about GregTech is talk about FTB Ultimate. Thousands of people watched Slowpoke try to disable GT on Twitch, and listened to what he said. They waited for Ultimate rather than get too deep into a world with the DireWolf20 pack, having been been assured that GT would not be giving them...

    Ultimate Pack

If there's really so little use for bronze that it doesn't matter that it is nerfed, then you're saying there's no reason to nerf it. There was a legitimate reason for it, when Forestry bronze could be converted to bronze blend and then brass blend, giving you a way to turn 4 ingots of bronze...

    Ultimate Pack

Ancient and off-topic post, but never answered: Enterprise, as in "H.M.S. Enterprize." Unless that is "not good" because "everyone hated" the show that featured it in the opening sequence. Most other Z/S differences are the other way around, though.

    GregTech

Disabling GT via the launcher only removes GT ores and tools. It leaves any "harder" (stupidly resource intensive) recipes that DON'T depend on GT things in place, because the config file is separate from the mod itself.

    Vanilla lighting improvement reverted?

    Cool, thanks.

    Vanilla lighting improvement reverted?

Yes, 1.4.2 beta pack, and the 1.4.5 packs. I just tried disabling mods to look for it, and it was only fixed after I disabled Forge.

    Vanilla lighting improvement reverted?

You've seen it yourself now, but anyway, no and yes. I'm in the habit of lighting things with torches in the ceiling, so it was very obvious when it first started happening in vanilla, when it was fixed in 1.3 vanilla, and when it reappeared in the FTB beta pack.

    Vanilla lighting improvement reverted?

No, not the overhaul. There was a minor improvement, and it is STILL IN 1.4.5, but not when all these mods are added.

    Vanilla lighting improvement reverted?

The lighting in 1.3.x and 1.4.x vanilla was improved over that in 1.2.5, most obviously demonstrated by placing a torch in an overhead 1x1 space. In 1.2.5 the torch space is darkened, while 1.3.2 and later correctly light the block. Do we know what mod in FTB has undone this fix?

    New Mod Pack Added

Nah. Working launcher, working mod pack, THEN making sure people can get them

    Red Power 2 News

Hopefully it will go for 1.4.6, which has a few nice changes over 1.4.5. Mod-related, vanilla now includes the shift-click functionality for placing things where clicking would normally open a GUI.

Does the launcher work for you?

Nearly always works. Two or three times I've had it hang while in the process of loading the lists of packs and maps. Neglected to get the report on it, though.

    Mass Fabricator? No Recipe?

GreghTech forces use of UU-Matter for a larger array of things. In IC2 it is an alternate method of making some junk objects, and the only source of iridium, which does nothing but make an armor set. GregTech has blocked off a great many things, including most of itself, by moving and hiding this.

    Mass Fabricator? No Recipe?

If this is how things will be (no problem there), then GregTech needs to tell NEI how to go about creating the UU. "Uses" of scrap need to include sticking it in the Matterfabricator, and "recipes" for UU Matter needs to show.
