Thaumcraft used to be one of my favourites too, even if I never got to fully utilize it before I got bored... I've probably researched the "tech"-tree over thirty times (too many hardcore worlds / MC updates / modupdates / ++). Now I just avoid thaumcraft like the plague, I've done the research...

Just don't think you can power the steves cart tree farms with solar power alone (though I've only used some kind og fertilizer with steves carts, it could maybe work when you don't supply that). It will spend so much time under the canopy of the trees it will run out of energy.

Only thing I've heard about them was from the professionals stream, where they mentioned that the saplings were only found in large hollow hills or in those small ruins' chests.. and that the chance was minuscule. EDIT: someone might have trolled them though :)

If you breed soul-shard-cows, you can kill their offspring for souls

If you go up to despawn everyone, then down so they can spawn in their hut.. won't the hut max out at the 70 hostile mobs allowed? Go down and kill them, rinse repeat. With a Soulstealer 5 sword you'd only need 3 trips or so? Just theorycrafting, unsure as to how all the mechanics work.

Hey =) Nice video. Here's my $.02: #1: Don't excuse your voice, sure we don't all like our voices, but yours has character. #2: Its 10 minutes! thats not long for most such videos, they rant on and on for up to 30 minutes :d I've never come to the point of making spawners in my hardcore...

I've watched them, THANKS! :) Though in general I find 20-30(+) minute videos too long if there is something I'm unsure of and want to recheck.
